alright guys i think i am finally gonna do it ( i have been thinking aobut it for a while) i am gonna swap a twin turbo ls1 motor in my 1991 3000gt VR4 i am looking to do all the work meself aside from the driveshaft i will have to have made i think i am gonna go for like a 10K personal loan that should cover everything and then some... what do you think about the idea?

From personal experience, I used a credit card to purchase 3k+ of parts and fun stuff for the car. I regret the money part but the car is so awesome now. I can keep up with payments fine but I didn't think ahead of how long it's really going to take to pay it off. If you have the means, go for it.

To be honest... I think its a terrible idea. Especially in this economy. Spending the money if you already had it would be a bad idea.... Spending it when you DON'T already have it is even worse. I don't know what your job situation is like, I just feel like it would be a fairly irresponsible decision. Ultimately, its up to you though!2002 SOM Camaro- Sold

its a sweet idea, but if it were me, i would do it little by little, putting like 2k on a card or something and pay it off before continuing.. 10k to soup up a car is alot imo, esp if you are taking a loan out for it all at once. Whew a big decisionComment

10k for a new vehicle is one thing, but 10k+ just for a twin turbo'd engine? nah. I would just buy a stock LS1 and throw that in.Comment

probably going to be more than 10k
