i think organized street racing like this is pretty stupid because why risk getting in all that trouble when you can just go to a track and do the same thing safely?

but i do think that there is nothing wrong opening up the car on a highway and playing around if your not some jackass that doesnt know how to drive.

if you get caught knowingly giving people aids it IS illegal and you CAN go to jail for it.

there is really no way to prove it though unless that person has records of getting a std test.

however there is proof of people street racng

someone is diagnosed with aids/hiv...it is not hard to prove...they wouldnt be knowingly spreading the disease if they werent tested and are unaware...like I said...their d*ck is not cut off...they are merely sent to jail...

I am not arguing about impounding the cars...that is like going to jail...impound cars, give a fine, suspend the licence whatever....but to crush ones car is very extreme.

Thats different then destroying ones house...why not impound the car for a certain amount of time...fees add up...if they cannot come up with the money, they have X amount of days to pay or maybe the car gets sold....not destroyed.

Hell, they dont even crush DUI cars...and a helluva lot more people die every year from dui then street racing...the punishment of crushing the vehicles does not fit the crime...

you know the funny things is i've been to one of these before (i didn't participate in this but went with a friend and his brother) and they get some dead end back street with no cars and line up like at the track except its in the street. then a cop car shows up and everyone yells "COPS!" and everyone flys out of there all together and the cops cant even do anything cause theres so many people. its actually not even that dangerious (the one i went to atleast) because there was no traffic at all, and it was around 3am.

danger comes with the fact that there is no EMS on standby, and streets are not prepped like the race track, there potholes and debris that can cause hazards...not to mention possible property damage to surrounding buisness/ whatever is on that street from a crash...

the streets were surprisingly paved also lol. but its lame. the car i was in was a stock buick with 3 people in it lol and someone jokingly was like cmon just race one run so the kid did and we beat some supped up integra haha it was so funny and stupid.

If someone pulls up to me, im not racing them to know how fast my car is? how could i dont have any gauges or anything. Im racing them for the rush and maybe the satisfaction of a win. Where i do pick up races, im the only one i can be killing.

But hey, ive seen you on other forums its pointless to argue with you, because your always right and are always better then the other person. So have a nice day

what makes it right to do something that is against the law?

impounding a car is nothing like getting your hand chopped off, im sorry.

a car can always be replaced, a hand cannot.

actually, i think they should make the person watch their pride and joy getting crushed in front of their eyes as even more punishment

I agree. i hate street racers. a friend of mine that lives in the twin cities almost lost his kids to a couple of young punks that were racing on a empty residential street, and then crashed into his yard.
I feel that if you want to race, do it on the track. many states have programs and tracks to race safely. here in MN, where the first video is from, we have a program called "Race for life". ( i have sponsored this event before but its run by the local police dept.) its held at the Brainerd drag strip every Wednesday night from spring to fall. even if you think the area your racing in is vacant and no ones around. there's always that chance that there is. and having to live with the consequences would be hard.

Actually, only 13 states don't currently have death penalty statutes...not to mention, you can still get executed for federal crimes, and the US military can execute it's own criminals.

Personally I look at it like this...A person street racing is no more a rolling killing machine then a guy who knowingly has aids and is spreading it sexually...They are quick to crush the car...but they will never cut off that guys ****...Both cause undo harm/death to unsuspecting civilians...

once again, if one's only goal is to spread AIDS, having sex is not the only way they could do it. However, if one's only goal is to street race, they cannot do it without a car. Still a ****ty analogy.

the thing is...just like people with aids can spread it in another way then sexually, and steal without a hand...they can still obtain another car...to me its just dumb to crush a car...I will come up with a better analogy soon enough, when my brain isn't fried from lack of sleep...
