in that case you probably didnt need the warranties...I had one original owner on mine...took care of it like you wouldnt believe...he had nothing major go on it....the worst I have had is the alt went, intake gasket went (which is a given, and you should check your coolant) the oil got in the coolant and gummed up the heater hoses and they blew.... I have 202,000km on my car (126k).....knock on wood...now thats also not to say that your car would be like mine...but the better taken care of the car is...chances are things arent going to go wrong...

w.e though, you have the warranties now, so take FULL advantage of them...anything that needs to be done take it in...doesnt matter how small....you need to make use of your $7400....

yeah my alternator went out a few months ago. and in that case the warrenties saved me about $400 from my understanding. the car has pretty much also been babied, so i will just continue to keep it that way. i never take it out to the strip and i dont street race very often, so i might as well just leave it the way it is as far as performance goes. some new wheels and tires would be nice though =). you know of any good places to get some?

        Re: 01 v6 bird

here, or www.ls1tech.com , or any of the other F-body forums...craigslist, kijiji , ebay....they have some sweet, sweet deals on there. I find Ls1tech has a lot of guys who buy wheels for a year or so, then decide they wanna go to something else....lots to choose from over there.... I got some nice looking (IMO) stock 16" chrome rims for $250 off ls1tech.... I personally didnt want to go bigger then 16's because of the added weight, and the lower profile tire makes it harder to hook up.

when I was looking ebay had nice 17-18" Z06 rims going for like $500-$600...
