I'm sitting here.... watching the video.... with my neck brace on recovering from neck surgery because some b*tch decided to talk to her kids while driving and not pay attention and hit me...... that video meant a lot to me
Back drop: 9/21 The wife and I were sitting in traffic 0 mph in company car - a 2009 Mercedes CLK350 cabriolet - I look in the rear view mirror and see a car coming really fast up on us, I look at the driver and see the back of their head - I know it ain't stopping, I yell "Oh *****!" and BAM!!!!!!
I tensed up - wife didn't.... good for her.... bad for me.
She hit us at around 40 mph... she never hit the brakes.... she was paying attention to her kid in the back seat. She admitted to me, the wife and the police that she was not paying attention, talking to her kid, and was looking into the back seat - its all in the police report.
2005 Kia vs. 2009 Benz = BENZ FTW!!!
Her lia was totaled.
The wife was taken to the hospital via ambulance - she was on a backboard and neck brace all tied down. I had enough anger and adreniline in me that I didn't have much pain in me then....and it slowly got worse later. I drove the benz all the way to the hospital.
She had x rays for the neck and was released - she had whip lash.
I had x rays on my neck and left shoulder and had a cat scan on my stomach, had an iv, blood work etc and was finally released - I was recovering from stomach surgery 1 month earlier so I was already in rough shape.

On Dec 16th I had surgery to my neck - anterior cervical discectomy and spine fusion. They went in through the front of my neck, moved my larenx over, removed the ruptured disc, put a cedaver bone in its place, put a metal plate in that stretched from my C6 to C7 vertabrea, put 4 screws in and sewed me up. I'm still in a neck brace..... grrrrrr
So, watch the video - makes you think before doing things - btw, I ordered the wife a 2009 Mercedes ML320 BlueTEC and we should have it shortly.
