I hate to be the regular person on earth, but earth is positioned just right to have the right temps, air mixtures, and resources needed for survival.

Mars? too cold, too much nitrogen.
venus? sure if you want to be well done..
other planets would take light years go get to, by the time a young kid arrived at jupiter (which is a thunderstorm thriving, gaseous non earthy planet.. he would be well over 100 years of age.

Living in space would be too dangerous because lets face it. Man kills man.. a weapon popping a hole in a wall would cause any station or life sustained home to implode.

Though sex in space would be cool, time in space has proven to be medically dangerous. Human bones are made up of carbon and calcium which deteriorates in space even with the super high dollar space suits.

So is space exploration interesting? Of course it is, however as an american tax payer, I believe the money could be well spent in other areas of technology. Kinda like fuels, cancer cures, feeding the hungry, better medical care, education, and more jobs for the american people.

We are in an economic destruction.... Yet we have billions of dollars to send a rat into space to see if it will survive with a tumor on its back..

But thats my opinion..

not a waste....we ONLY have until 2012 to find a new planet to live on....time is of the essence here....:cool:
