    We built all the suspension and drive wheels parts out here at JSC. It will be in the inaugural parade on the 20th.

          It looks incredibly complicated. Lots and lots and lots of things that can break down.

          I still like the original rover better.

            I like the new one. The old one looks like a 1920's golf kart that lost its way to the 9th hole.

              I personally think all this space stuff is a total waste of money. Especially when you hear that we spend billions of dollars to fly one rocket to the moon. Obviously we've been there, why keep going back? Use that money to help out on earth.

                  cause this research is going towards finding a way to get to other planets. this one will run out of space eventually. not to mention, our resources are getting depleted. if we find one we can live on, then we've solved some problems.

                    That is really awesome! So long as it's reliable enough to work! As mentioned, lots of things to go wrong, but certainly awesome if it's built well.

                      The main problem with the new lunar rover is that it is built on a LT1-based platform.

                      Try finding a new Optispark on the moon...

                        ...and the main designer of the new lunar rover is same guy who designed 4th gen Firebird window motors and headlight assemblies. :eek::rant::rolleyes:
