the more you post, the more i dont like you. everything you say is negative all the time. quit being such a goddamn rain cloud all the time.
It's ok Bibby. He doesn't have to like it if he doesn't want to. I was used to that with the Camaro. Some people loved the Hugger Orange with the black stripes, and some people hated it..... cops loved it.
looks good, only thing I don't like about them is you can't tell the 8 from the 6....im sure the gxp will me different...how much power does it have anyways??
That's one of the things I like about it most. Nobody around here even knows what kind of car it is, much less that it has a 361HP/385TQ V8 under the hood (on 87 octane). Cops don't even give it a second look man.
Nice and clean. Under the hood is a tidy engine cover, that does hide quite a bit, but doesn't just make you imagine what a motor looks like. It was funny, they guys at the Mazda dealer don't know much about the car other than "it has a HUGE motor, like 450HP, just like in the Corvettes". I laughed and just let them go on about it.
The inside is great. It's a huge improvement over old GM dash and leather quality, but there's still alot of plastic. I don't have a problem with plastic, since it hurts less than metal does when your face crashes into it...... but still. Either way, the interior is really nice for me.
The car has a pile of features I didn't really know about till I test drove my first one.... There's a driver information center between the Tach and the Speedo. You can cylce through all the options available to you (some you can't access unless the car is in park). You have tire pressure monitoring which shows the pressures in each individual tire on screen; overspeed warning that you can set (or turn off) to whatever speed you want (I set it to 70 since the car gets there so quick); digital speedo which is really nice to have when you're speed-creeping in a small town; current average fuel mileage; range remaining on this tank; you can even set "rest reminders" which play a chime to remind you if you've been driving for (whatever length of time you set) so long; and some other things. Also at the top of the info center, it displays the current radio station you're on. Pointless, but neato. Keyless entry, panic, andremote start are built into the main key. It's a single key and fob together in one unit; the key folds up into the fob for storage and switchblades out for use. The radio has a decent sized LCD screen that displays everything; your station or track info; single or dual zone climate control temperatures; exterior temp.; HVAC fan speed when you adjust it; location of HVAC direction (feet/face/defrost); you can even change the way it displays some info on screen (but not alot). I'm still looking for a way to get a reverse camera on the thing and display it over the screen. Heated leather seats with 3 levels of warmth (high will make you sweat); plush, comfy leather (not like the hard crap GM has used in the vette and f-bodys); power adjustable front seats (except for the lumbar and seatback angle); ginormous back seat.
Since I'm finally on highspeed, I can take pics of anything and everything and upload them if you guys want.... heck even videos. Don't ask for burnouts though, I don't think I'm gonna be getting the wife to run the camera for that.
it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. plus, have it done when she's not not around/driving it either ;)
I've already seen a u-tube vid of a g8gt w/a magnusson on it
Lol, yeah, but then again, if she doesn't like it, and I have to remove them...... that will suck. I pretty much got the G8 for her (generous, I know), but picked the GT model for my own desires. Oh well, one thing at a time. Right now, our next purchase will be a house.... so extra toys might have to wait a bit...
