  • For those of you with a GPS

I thought I would share this with you guys, even though it has been out for a long time...

    http://www.poifriend.com/

you can add custom Points of interest to you GPS with proximity alerts...for me I have know speed traps hooked up to mine, so it beeps when I get close to where a know trap is located. Saved me twice already since I have had it (about 7-8 months or so)

anyways if your interested browse around and add the POI's that you want...tons of stuff in there

Also, for those of you who live in the Boston area that already know about this or something like this...if you could give me a link to custom speed trap points that I can load into my gps I'd appreciate it...taking a trip down there next weekend...

Re: For those of you with a GPS

Im actually going to sell my gps and get me a new TOMTOM 730GO.
it has an FM transmitter built in so I can listen to my MP3 music through my work trucks radio. Cd player is fine, just scratch the hell outta cds all the time in there. its about $350... but it would be nice to listen to my music and not some ghetto country song all the time. lol

Also USB I think , if you just get a adapter for the cable. Def. a good investment, I have all my DR. offices programed in and any new ones I can just add them in without driving around for a hour trying to find the place.

ahh...see the site I posted, you download a file to the gps and it saves the custom POI's...that means you get 10000's of speed traps or w.e in less then 30 seconds lol...not physically sit there and put them in...

well for the site I posted...make an account, search for what you want, then click download the file and select your gps on the list...you'll probably have to download a program to install it...I have a garmin so I know that you can get that off of the garmin website free....
