I have a decent amount to say. Partly because I am a very vocal person, and partly because I have experienced quite a bit. You know just as well as I do that weed is not like heroin or the like in that it does not make you PHYSICALLY addicted. You may think you are, but it is all mental. Smoking weed isn't an activity, it is a way of life. It doesn't matter how many programs you go through, if you don't change your daily activities, nothing will change! To get over this, you need to want to do it. Take a stand, and start doing something with your life.
The only reason why I stopped smoking weed (after 5 or 6 years of burning through 1/8 a day) is that I was on probation for unrelated charges. I still light up every once in a while, but that is once a month at the most! After legally not being able to smoke for so long, I just realized that I could live without it... and I enjoy the extra cash.
I've been through 90% of what you are talking about... hit me up if you want to talk.

thanks for the kind words man, i understand exactly where your coming from, im going to meetings and stuff, but whats going to help the most is when im put on probation, and like you, i WONT be able to smoke.
again, i completely understand when you say its not an addiction, its a way of life. i feel the same way, i used to smoke before school, after school, before work, during work, after work. literally before/after anything i did, its a life style. i didnt change my life to work around weed, i worked my weed around my life. right now, im kinda struggling, i still want to smoke and its hard not to. thanks again man.

Dont know ya, cant say much but keep your head up and find a new addiction. like underwater basket weaving. get a hobby, think of your family. the rest will fall through.
cant say I was into drugs or drinks, but I did go to war, had some SERIOUS issues when I came back which kinda resulted in my divorce. PTSD is a *****. but all in all, I had my children, well still have them, and they keep me straight along with keeping myself busy with work... so we all have our secrets. its just up to everyone to acknowledge our problems and make a stand by doing something about it. so like I said, keep your head up and keep telling yourself tomorrow will always be a better day, and today is the first day of the rest of your life... So live it! (legally).. lol
its worked for me so far.. Haven't taken any lives since Afghan and Iraq. lol
Also, I feel (and this is my opinion) joking around with it helps, but I have a ****ed up sense of humor anyways.
Keep your head up and shoulders back man, you'll be fine...
Luck,
Archer, C.

your only 18? wow... well, there isn't too much im going to say, just preoccupy yourself with different things, change your life, make it as far away as possible to get away from the temptation, and just keep going... good luck :)

No problem. Thats what we're here for.
I used to hit the g-bong every day before going to play some IM ping pong, haha. You begin to rely on it to make certain activities fun. You start needing to smoke before you eat, just so you're hungry enough. If you don't smoke before class, you start tweaking out. Trust me, I know ALL about it!
First and foremost, figure out the legal issues. Honestly, I think you need to get them out of the way before you try to clean up. You can't take any shortcuts, and if you are rushing it, you are going to find a TEMPORARY solution.
Once you get the legal stuff over with, come out to Ohio. Do SOMETHING. The weed out here is all terrible, so I don't think you would have any problems. Otherwise, go somewhere cool. Go somewhere that you wouldn't have to smoke weed to have fun. As long as there are other things on your mind, you'll be straight.
I smoke about a pack a day when I'm at school. I've been smoking for YEARS. Whenever I go home, I can go months without smoking. Reason being, it just isn't a "smoking" environment. I think that the only way to truly overcome an addiction is by removing yourself from the lifestyle that caters to it.

I'm positive if you go to college in the state you are in right now you'll just be doing the same thing. You would've wasted your time, money, and purpose. My advise to you is when you get the opportunity again, just go to a college or community college that's close to your support system.
One is for sure, you admitted your problem and that's a good thing.
Now it is time to MAN UP. Pay your dues and start life over again. You're still young, you can do it. I wouldn't make friends with those who are doing drugs. They are not friends to begin with. They'll just pull you in again.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
