Just asking if this is a good buy

so I have been searching around for a good Camaro. I've talked to 00flow, and all in all a good deal. I found another Camaro, a 2000 sivler 3.8 for $4000 out the door, but mileage was 153k.

so I still kept on searching, and I found a 2000 Z28 for $4500 with 62,756 miles, fully loaded ebony interior, and a dark blue exterior with t tops. motor and trans runs great and has a True Dual? flowmaster exhaust. Dont know what true dual is, but its just what he said. Just wanted some of ya'lls opinions before I made the leap from V6 3800 to V8 LS1. Tell me what ya think.

CEL is on because the car isnt started. just turned key to show mileage.
Plus I have a SS Hood and SS Spoiler... Can I put SS badges on? hahahaha

that really cheap for that car, im betting that there is something wrong with it

that should be going for at least $9k

and true dual exhaust is when the exhaust goes straight back with 2 mufflers instead of one pipe with a muffler splitting it into two

that a good deal but give it the once over cause that seems really cheap for a z28 with tha mileage. I could see the 3.8 for 4000 with 150,000 miles and the z28 for 4500 with 63000 miles. I would say those prices are about right. Looks mint.

I'd snap that one up for a kick a$$ project car :rock:

Love that LS1 motor. Potential for more power is easily achieved with bolt on exhaust, intake & headers and easily swapped too.

Just have to read up on computerized tuning for maximum performance.

seems cheap, run a carfax on it to be sure it wasnt a salvage

I talked to him, he said dual because the V6 has 1 and the Z already came stock with 2.. so I got the true dual out of the way.. only has 1 muffler. as far as the price, he doesnt need the money, just wants someone to take care of it. he had a friend's son interested but he said it was too much car for a young guy. the car has been ditched on the pass side, and frame wasnt hurt too bad but was fixed by a cert frame tech. new parts were replaced on the pass side as in tie rods, bumper headlight, headlight bracket and fender. then repainted the stock color.. Car fax only says the one accident. $20 for a car fax.. can ya believe it!! all in all its a friend of my uncle, Im going to take her out when things clear up, but I think i'll take it if everything turns out...

so it was wrecked and fixed, who cares. if it looks good, goes down the road straight, and everything else checks out OK, then grab it.

lol, well after thinking (HARD) I may not be able to grab it. Rent, utilities are due... looks like I'll have to deal with the V6... Sucks I know, but if anyone else is interested in the car I can give ya the information. Its in Salem Va.
after the plane ticket or fuel for 2 vehicals, would be appx 4900, and I just had to pop down $320 on my girls durango for a damn hub bearing.

for a 65k LS1... 4500 is a steal! i have seen older, higher milaged, less loaded, v6s go for more... my area also sucks... but still an awesome deal :)

dude dump the v6, when you get the ls1 you will look back and laugh that you acctually tried modding a v6.

plus you got to love

3.8=16-16.5 1/4 mile
ls1=12.5-13 1/4 mile
