    ls1=12.5-13 1/4 mile

    yes thats a good price for the car, but 3.8s run low 15's stock, ls1's run low 13's stock. assuming they have a good driver.

      Re: Just asking if this is a good buy

      I was cautious when you mentioned the price and the frame damage because of the ditch but a family friend does help. I picked up my '96 Z28 with less than 78k miles with a 6 speed, fully loaded etc. from an uncle's friend as well so I got him to lower the price by like $500 or so and it was a steal for the condition its in. Just be wary, just becuase you can afford the initial buy of a V8 doesn't mean that you can fork up the insurance for it. I checked all years of Camaros/Trans Ams before I found a year that was really reasonable for insurance with Collision on it. Believe me, collision will save a headache if an accident occurs and I don't want to lose my Z. Gotta plan ahead. But if you can afford the initial buy and the insurance, hell go for it man!

        no wonder its selling for 4500....THE OWNER IS A DUMBASS!!!

        It doesnt have true dual....if it had true dual it would have 2 mufflers. Buy this and never look back....if you dont, I will.

        true duals: http://www.f150online.com/forums/mem...true-duals.jpg

        not true duals: http://www.slickcar.com/products/14780.jpg this is 1 exhaust pipe then splits into 2......true duals have 2 pipes throughout the whole setup

          Yeah, there is a difference.

          That price is good, but not uncommon lately. Deals like that keep popping up on ls1tech, its pretty depressing.

            Does it have a clean title?

              Re: Just asking if this is a good buy

              define clean...

              I guess (and im not sure about it either) a salvage title is different than a repaired title..

              I thought there were only 2 types. clear and salvage. he said VA cleared his title as repaired. I know I can take this car and title, sign it to my friends name in mich, then have him sign it back to me, and take the title to ohio and have it as a clear title..

              I did not buy this car because I REALLY dont need an LS1. its nice to pull up and say "yeah, its got an LS1 in it" but im not a track guy unless its with a sportbike... I'm 30 and done with speeding (long story). I just need something thats reliable and looks nice. And since I've always loved camaros.... it all just fits. I know camaro and reliable is sorta an oxymoron. But I as well as others take care of my vehicles and they last for a while... So I did purchase the V6 with high miles. Im taking the V6 out of my donor that has 48k on it and will be swapping that into the 00 late spring.

              as for the Z... if anyone in the area wants an LS1 and has the $4500.. its a good buy, I just didnt want to spend the extra $500 to go there and drive it back with the crappy weather we have been having. I'll have my LS1 someday, just not today..

              00Flow, I am sorry I did not choose your camaro to purchase, but this one was a bit cheaper, bone stock, and alot closer. I hope you understand..
              MISC: 01 parts. Some interior, T top kit, seats etc.
