damn ice storm!!

who here has felt the rath of? i was without power for 20 hours which isn't bad.. but still sucked.. last ice storm (2003) that hit here there wasn't any poer for 9 days!! but i suppose i am lucky alot of people aren't gonna have power till mid feb!!!

not a huge storm, but we have been getting snow storms that melt during the day, then freeze at night

my father called me and told me when he left for work our street was covered in snow, took him 20min to get up his street, tires were smoking from the ice and everything

he couldnt stop because his car would have started sliding down the hill

The only times I like ice is when it's keeping my beer/beverages cold, and icehockey. Other than that, I'd rather move to the deep-south where I normally wouldn't have to worry about it falling from the sky...in any form!

I almost busted my arse many'o times last night when I was drunk and trying to walk in it!

my car was purchased in SC where i guess it never gets too cold there, it doesnt even have rear defoggers which SUCKS

aahahaha, ice. Yes, I know all about ice.

The sky just dumped about 7 inches worth of white stuff.
Then decided it wasn't enough, so here comes the sleet!

Sucks having to snowblow ice chunks.

I got a pile of snow next to my b-ball hoop, about 5 feet high.

SO much snow. And of course, nothing got plowed. Thats one of the many things I hate about Ohio... they suck at clearing the roads here.

its even worse this yr. they arnt using alot of salt this year. they are using more stone at intersections now. but its pretty bad when the main roads, highways and interstates dont get plowed.. did ya hear about that 17 car/ semi pile up in findlay on the I-75/us-224 on ramp...

its even worse this yr. they arnt using alot of salt this year. they are using more stone at intersections now. but its pretty bad when the main roads, highways and interstates dont get plowed.. did ya hear about that 17 car/ semi pile up in findlay on the I-75/us-224 on ramp...

I hate ohio, but im here. lol

they are doing the same stuff here, instead of using salt they are putting more anti skid on the road

now i have crap stones hitting my car, and that nasty black stuff on the side of the road is all over the place

I went to work this morning and it was kinda chilly, like in the 40's, but by lunch i shed my jacket and we opened the shop doors, then i washed my car...I LOVE ALABAMA!

Wow! I just watched ABC World News and I saw some of the devastation in Madisonville, KY.

I'm honestly sorry that I was b_tching about the lazy storm that hit us in the Northeast. I really didn't know it was that bad down there until I watched the news an hour ago. People were burning parts of their decks and fences in their homes just to stay warm. My heart goes out to everyone who is suffering because of this.

Yeah no kidding, but when they do plow the roads they rip em up good. Dunno if you've been through maumee at all but right in front of the cinemas where it curves there's tons of ridiculous pot holes.

For entertainment though, people around here drive like they've never been in snow before. I saw a taurus trying to make a left turn. He ended up bouncing pretty hard off the curb, then he takes off as if he was trying to get away from anyone that saw, out of embarrassment I imagine.
