Well, as some of you know, I sold the camaro a couple years ago?...
I sold it, and bought a brand new GMC Canyon... That thing was a piece of Sh!t, I liked it, but for a 5cyl it got horrible fuel mileage, and the more things I was buying, I was pushing my luck with the amount I was towing... & going on trips, having a single cab truck was a pain, because you could haul 2 people comfortably, 3 not too comfortable but managable.
After about 30k miles, I couldnt risk blowing it up, towing my boat, enclosed trailers, atv' trailers and whatnot, so I started shopping again.
I traded it, and got an amazing deal on the trade in, and on the asking price of the truck I have now.
I got a 05 GMC Sierra, Used with 30k miles. It's a 2500HD 6.6L Turbo Diesel. w/ an Allison 6 spd Transmission
Completley Unmolested, and stock... I got it for around 10k under book value.
I put a tuner on it, opened the exhaust, intake system, Aurora turbo and more...
Although opening the exhaust made a difference between night and day, with a 3.5" exhaust I wanted more. So I bought a 4" system, no muffler, no cat.
For a truck weighing over 9k lbs, Its a rocket.
Easy horsepower with a diesel, the tuner alone, on its highest setting adds 150hp.
I now, once again am unhappy with the 4" turbo back exhaust, so I purchased a 5" system, and havent installed it yet.
Everyone asks me why my truck sounds like a hairdryer, the turbo is so loud, and boost about 30psi.
With all the add ons, I still get about 25mpg, highway, around 11mpg in town.
This thing tows my boat, enclosed 20 ft trailer full of crap, my blazer, I haul cars all the time, and its so effortless.
My other vehicles I have, currently:
86' Chevy c10, 355, 4bolt
01' Chevy s-10, 4.3L Vortec
00' Silverado 6.0 V8 (selling to a friend)
88' K5 blazer, 8" suspension lift, 40" tires.. my mud toy!
Getting rid of the camaro had to be the greatest feeling, I think she was trying to kill me with stress!
