  • How much for my car? (dont get mad)

I said dont get mad because I'm not sure where to put this and I dont want to..."offend" anyone...i guess?

Anyway. My car has a head gasket leak, coolant in oil, and i just took it off the road and put on my other car. I was wondering what I could get for it. Its a v6 chameleon green auto firebird. a couple suspension pieces, 145k miles.
    Thanks.

Depends on the condition really, but id say but probably no more than $1,500.

Your not very specific either, what year is it etc...

Sorry, i really could have added more.

Its a 97, it may need some fixing up on the suspension because it has a rough ride. it has 2 dents on the rear drivers side quarter panel (not too noticable) dent, paint is really nice but not perfect. lower control arms, panhard rod (not installed) and shock tower brace. recently had new brakes all around. power windows and locks. passenger window wont go down. drivers door sags a little. interior is in very good condition, steering wheel radio controls, no radio.

        some pictures:

        Heres the dent:

Are you sure it's the head gasket? I had just a little oil in the coolant years ago, it was not the head gasket but one of the other gaskets (mechanic just said leaking intenally--prob. intake manifold). Still an expensive fix but not as vitally needed as head gasket.

Is car overheating? Mine did not in the least.

If head gasket, I'd guess $800

i replaced a head gasket just a bit ago and it wasnt that hard...not a novice chore, but with some help it can be done. i spent 300 on head work, another 150 on the gaskets and reuseable rocker bolts, better than trashing the car.
