You all may not know me very well, but I posted on here a few times before I deployed. My husband, Charles Patrick Gaffney (aka ironranger) was killed in action in Afghanistan December 24, 2008.
I am still here in Afghanistan myself trying to deal with this. I will be home in May. For those of you who met him, you know he was a great guy and will be missed deeply.
Due to circumastanced I cannot control from over here, the car was taken away from me because the title had his name on it, etc....
Anyway, I plan on buying another camaro and rebuilding it just as he had wanted it, starting from scratch, but i will need youre guys' help.
I know more about trucks than I do about cars, but I can turn a wrench and I'll manage.
I live in the Ft Campbell KY area. I am looking to buy a Red 96 Camaro, stock V6, that's it, and turn it into the RS he wanted. I need all the parts I can gather. I have an engine, rear axle, and front subframe at the moment. I need a solid aluminum drive shaft, springs and shocks, exhaust, headers, wheels, cold air, and anything else I can get my hands on. Here is a picture of the car with the old wheels on it.
I hope to come on here as frequently as I can and hope to keep in touch with you guys. Take care.
Rachel
