You all may not know me very well, but I posted on here a few times before I deployed. My husband, Charles Patrick Gaffney (aka ironranger) was killed in action in Afghanistan December 24, 2008.
I am still here in Afghanistan myself trying to deal with this. I will be home in May. For those of you who met him, you know he was a great guy and will be missed deeply.
Due to circumastanced I cannot control from over here, the car was taken away from me because the title had his name on it, etc....
Anyway, I plan on buying another camaro and rebuilding it just as he had wanted it, starting from scratch, but i will need youre guys' help.
I know more about trucks than I do about cars, but I can turn a wrench and I'll manage.
I live in the Ft Campbell KY area. I am looking to buy a Red 96 Camaro, stock V6, that's it, and turn it into the RS he wanted. I need all the parts I can gather. I have an engine, rear axle, and front subframe at the moment. I need a solid aluminum drive shaft, springs and shocks, exhaust, headers, wheels, cold air, and anything else I can get my hands on. Here is a picture of the car with the old wheels on it.
I hope to come on here as frequently as I can and hope to keep in touch with you guys. Take care.

    Rachel

I talk to Charles a lot too via email. We both been sharing pics. We mostly talk about working out, guns, and cars. I know that he's been letting his nephew drive his Camaro. So what happened to his car now?

He has been sending me pics of you and him together and all the places he's been to in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I know for a fact that he's a proud service man who loves his country very much. A good family man and A hell of a guy.

I consider him a good friend. I will pray for him. God Bless him.
