so i cruisin down I64 east today with the ttops off in the firebird. thought everything was goin well and then bang. i notice my speed dropping very fast. the motor just smoked and then would not start. what the hell could cause that? checked everything over before i left like i always do, and didnt know what happen. so im looking for a new motor or block. so hit me up
It just plain overheated. You had the throttle down too hard probably. Chances are it was in the process of going out - your throttling just made it go out faster, lol. Hope you get it fixed though.
well the oil pan didnt have any water. and the motor wont ever turn over. so im lookin for a motor. and to leonard 3.8l i was on cruise control goin 60mph
Its just a thought but you could try it since the motor wont turn over. If the head gasket blew one or more of the cylinders could be hydrolocked coolant, taking the spark plugs out will let you know if thats whats keeping the motor from turning over and allow you to turn it over. I dunno its just a thought.
