Agreed. The G Series looks like a good boost for them, it's just the unpredictable gas prices that are doing most of the damage. While I'm on the topic of Pontiacs, I personally think the Solstice looks like poop.

I think i wont but another american car until they actually built and produce them here in US grounds. with that said, china is another topic... save it for politics.

Same here. I prefer the Saturn Sky to the Solstice.

They need to scrap buick. They think that their models are all innovative, but there are a lot of stigmas attached to the name. I know for instance that my parents (who drive STRICTLY foreign cars) would buy a Pontiac before a Buick.

I read somewhere that Pontiac might go independant. Anyone I heard was that Pontiac might be bought off by Holden.

I think when Saturn first came out they were independant from GM. They didn't share GM parts. THey were successful.

But yeah, I think bankrupcy is the best route for them.

GMC has a big follower base for their trucks. They don't normally "convert" people, but they probably recognize that there are still people who drive strictly GMC trucks, even if they are the same as chebby basically. Just an idea.

I think it would be a good idea for them all to go independent, but at the same time I would hate to see it happen.
