  • Insurance rate?

Was wondering how much you guys pay for insurance? Mine started around $90 a month but it's like every 6 months when it comes time to renew it they give me some crap about nation wide increases. It's now $103.XX something a month. I'm 23 with a 95 Camaro 3.4 auto. I have Progressive and it's liability only.

I'm 23. I thought mine was high when I was reading on LS1tech that some people pay just alittle more than me but get full coverage on a newer car with a V8.

I'm 35 and my 3.8 96' Camaro is $35 a month with full coverage 100,000/300,000 coverage, $500 ded., No tickets/Accidents on record for 11 years with zero for glass replacement, have my wife's vehicle on there with the house coverage, it is through Progressive. my wifes 07' Saturn Vus is I think $65 a month full coverage100/300 like mine W/glass. This next time I'm going to add a 10,000 extra on the Camaro for replacement if it is stolen, with all my mods , so I'll at least get something back if it is stolen it is a extra $50 a month. Most companies are looking at your credit also.

when i was on my folks insurance it was 560? every six for liability, now that i am on my own its 620 every six for liablity. 19 years old, no accidents, but i do have a couple of tickets, and a small record, dont know if that has anything to do with it.

i have my dubin-wagon on as a secondary and its only 184 every six for liability.

I forgot also if your in a high crime area , neighbor hood , I'm surprised at some of the rates you guys are paying. I know AZ is a high priced state do to all the Sun Citizens here(old people). Mine has always been low except when I first bought it in Dec. 95' I was 22 and the price per month was $165 I think. When I hit 25 it dropped and when I got married it dropped again and after 30 it dropped. Mine also might be lower since I have a handicap hang up for the window from the DMV because I'm disabled.

i was just looking at insurance quotes too, looking for some. I've had one traffic violations (speeding obviously) in the two years i've had my license and im 20 now. I looked and the two lowest i personally found was something called magnum insurance at $77 a month for only liability and a one year policy. other than that i found geicko at about 127 a month for a 6 month policy. Some require a "down payment." Like magnum required 166, idk about geicko. this is in Illinois.

                        Re: Insurance rate?

We pay for 6 months up front , so there is no $7 charge per vehicle for processing fees a month, so it saves in the long run. I think with the house and cars paying up front saves use $180 a year. We also used a insurance broker who finds the cheapest rates. I don't know if they have them in other states. But they found us some good insurance with a low price that even beat what we had USAA who I thought would be the lowest. ESP. for a 300/100(which is a good plan if it is your fault) plan on both vehicles and a extra $50,000 for contents for our house.

I pay 170/month total for my Formula and Firebird, full coverage both, and I'm 23. Insurance rates vary greatly dependant on what area you live in.
