  • Ever sell a car that you absolutely loved?

It's been about 2 years now and I'm still not over my 30th Anniversary. I didn't want to get rid of her but I couldn't afford to put a new engine in her (again). Now I drive something I told myself I would never buy and although its fun, sporty, and alot faster, its just not the same. I keep wondering where my Camaro is now. Some young kid is probably ripping up the streets with her and tearing her up.

Anyone else ever have to get rid of a car that they were in love with?

I haven't that is why I've had my 96' Camaro for over 13 years, bought it new with 18 miles on it. I will never sell it, I will only make it better, stronger and faster than before. We have the technology.LOL

        ehhh... not so much.

I do miss my first car a bit, but got a v8, little bit rednecked out but well taken care of.

my 3.4L I sometimes miss, but too much money to keep it running... New owner repainted it fixed all issues and still drives it, has over 200k on it now.

my 3.8L, some days I do miss it, but I just think back to the headache it gave me right at the end. Such a headache...

that was my first car, i had it for about a year and a half, i traded it for a dune buggy, and i still want it back.

i had that for like 2 months, turns out stock trannys dont like a whole lot of power, so i sold it...and still want it back.

LETZRIDE I'm driving a Mustang GT now. '98 5 speed. Its nice with super loud dumped exhaust but I still miss my 3.8. I'm thinkin of looking for it somehow to see if I can buy it back from whoever bought it.

ahh...mustangs are alright...despite the rivalry between f-bodies and mustangs, I like em...hell, I was looking for a 5.0 before I bought my car...I think it would be kind of tough to track down who bought your car though...unless of course you have some kind of bill with their name on it somewhere?...besides, even if you could find who has your old car....that may not be a road you want to travel down. You may not like what was done with the car...be it either tacky mods, or lack of TLC...probably best left alone as a good memory. Move on and buy another...nothing is ever the same after it has been molested...

Re: Ever sell a car that you absolutely loved?

I'm trying not to think about that. All the cars I love I still have, but my situation may soon force me to sell them. Unless something good come my way. I doubt it.

Before I bought the GT I was about to buy a 2001 3.8 with SS hood, SS wheels and spoiler. It was real nice. I even posted pics on here so you guys could see it. Then after getting approved and getting ready to give them my down payment, the guy flaked on me and said he didnt wan't to sell to me. He ended up giving it to his grandson. So I took the next car I could get and it happened to be my 'stang. I've gotten 2 tickets so far and got my a$$ kicked by a Cobra two days ago. Good times.

See these two cars down hereVVVV?? Selling them would be like selling a child. Even though one is basically adopted. But it's "dad" before me was my brother so.. I'm keepin it in the family.
