slow down the running, you need more upper body and abdominal strength than lower body. you'll build that in training. also go to a GNC, ask the person there you need to gain weight. they'll give ya some EAS or GNC brand (cheaper) protien/ whey. follow the directs. and you'll be up to government par by this summer.

but if your looking at army, your best bet is to go enlisted, find the job you LIKE. and go OCS or WOS. This makes better officers that dont have the BIG head (no offence showdown) but enlisted soldiers make better officers IMO. they know what it feels like to be on the bottom of the totem pole. Normal commisioned officers go in with the metallity that just because they are a butter bar, they rule. But I have seen a Sgt Mgr run a butter bar into the ground before.. lol that butter bar was a prick tho.. Thought he was god himself. That dude ran us, dropped us... no reason other than he could. SGTMGR saw that and double the smoke time the 2nd lt did to us to him.. haha it was funny.

I would definitely not suggest going during the winter months. I was in South Cali during the winter, and it was horrible. There are too many hours of sitting your *ss in the cold...waiting for stuff to happen. You aren't allowed to wear any thermal clothing, b/c the DI's are afraid you might have a heat stroke.
I am not sure what it would be like during the summer, but I would imagine that the extreme oposite would be the case...sitting around sweating your *ss off...better chances of a heat stroke and getting a silver bullet.
During the spring or fall would prob be the best time, but it is still going to be hard...good luck!

when you have a heat stroke, the docs have to check your core temp. they ram a silver rod up your anus and take the temp.. best time to go is fall temps arnt too bad and it doesnt rain much, but the ol' saying is "if its not raining, then we arnt training"
