woah, the camaro must be a beater for you to buy that!
Team NoVa
2000 Firebird- Intake, Pacesetters, !cat, full 2.5 to flowcrapster, 1.9 rockers, LS6 springs and Intense modded retainers, WS6 speedlines, T/A bumpers and hatch, 5 spd swapped, SOON TO BE nitrous'd and cammed.
Not my flavor, then again it's not my money. I'm not trying to instigate or motivate you to buy a small car like a Miata and get it to go. Personally, if I was planning to get married soon I would look toward something a little more family-geared but still fun. That and the chances of surviving an accident in such a small car are not the greatest.

In all reality, it doesn't look that bad (My Camaro, that is). It just needs paint to look 100%.
As for that Miata, I called him up, and its 100% except the hood (Needs painted). I know several people with SPEC (MazdaSpeed), Monster (V8), and rotary (13b from an FC) Miatas. All have their strengths and weaknesses. All have one think in common, and I believe Uldose (Sorry, I might have spelled it wrong) knows what I mean. Light weight. A 2100lb Miata with any of the above mods as opposed to a 3300lb V6 Camaro, or a 3600lb Z28. The point is that I've always loves lightweight cars, to include the Miata and any Lotus. Its an open debate, although yes, I am getting married in June, but no, no kids until I finish college. I have at least 3 years left. Sagging economy might lead to higher gas prices, and quite frankly, as much as I love my 3800, having a lead foot kinda hurts my pocket. Analyzing the pros and cons, both my Camaro and the Miata have their fair share.
I ate a bowl of fail this morning.

So do some weight reduction mods. We're here to help you in your time of need. And you're obviously in a time of need. Go ahead and admit you need help. That'll put you in the right direction and drop some of that weight from the guilt that is building up on you.
the miata is only light because if its size. but by far as a daily driver, that isnt the best car to roll around in. Fun car, yes! off the shelf modifications, easy to work on... but we'd hate to loose another camaro guy/ girl...
but if your that into them and its something you REALLY want, then by all means man, grab it up.

Mine is down to around 2700-2800lbs, and still dropping(I need a 100lb driver to drive it at the track and I'll be set)LOL, just turbo your Camaro and be done. I would just by a honda with a turbo rather than drive a Miata, thats just me though(because I would never fit in one being 6'4 280lbs.)LOL. But to each there own.

96' Camaro M5 to A4 conversion, alot of mods . GT35R Turbo full suspension. Built engine
I know someone who dropped a 5.0 stang engine in his miata and he races it at the NASA. That thing is fast as hell. But personally I wouldn't get a miata.
I would drive a Fiero rather than a Miata, Fiero with the L67 engine= badass, but I still couldn't fit in one , so thats why I keep my Camaro. Are the Fiero's lighter or about the same as a Miata?
