When I was up at the Dealer doing test drives, Dan the director said he would have mostly V8's up there and it would be around the end of April. He said he might get a RS and regular sixers but they are mostly going to be V8's. I be up there as soon as they get them in for a test drive and for some pics.

It was advertised on my local news channel that it was finally in production. I'm sorry to say this, but I think they've waited just too damn long, and they're bringing it out in the middle of a record breaking recession.

Yeah, you're right. But you know when I was at the Dodge dealer they said that their Challenger was selling well. So who knows.
It is a great time to buy a car though. There's so many discount and promotions as well as 0% APR.

Cool. I hope to get an email from them again inviting me to come down and test drive it.
you know as much as I love these things...and as much as I want them to do well and sell...I dont want a million of these things out running around on the road...thats what makes our cars unique...there are not that many of them...thats one thing I dont like about mustangs, and what I absolutly can't stand about hondas, they're everywhere....

Double edge sword here my friend. If you want the Camaro to live on you have to hope that it sells.
It's the Firebird that I don't see much anymore in my area. Maybe 1 or 2 a week. But there's plenty of Camaro I see everyday.
Last week a guy came up to me and asked me where he could buy a car like mine. I told him to look at a used autotrader add. He went used?!! He thought my car was a 2008-9 model. I'm glad I kept mine looking like new, eventhough I had it since late '97.
I know, i know...thats what kinda sucks...your bird looks sweet, and your will always remain special cause there will be no more birds lol...
over here I see maybe 1-2 camaros a week...I see maybe 3-4 birds a month...scarce round here...I actually dont even really see that many mustangs to be honest...our streets are just cluttered with toyotas, hondas, and mazdas....
I love the new camaro...I would just hate it to be one of those cars that you see on every single street corner kind of thing...like hondas...I flipping can't drive around the block without counting a minimum of 6-8 of them...
here camaros are all over the place...there is this pewter trans-am runnin around and my buddies are always calling me(they arent car people, they cant tell) like hey i just passed you.
mustangs are the car around here that everybody has, i hope the camaro is not that way. i want it to be special to see one.
Team NoVa
2000 Firebird- Intake, Pacesetters, !cat, full 2.5 to flowcrapster, 1.9 rockers, LS6 springs and Intense modded retainers, WS6 speedlines, T/A bumpers and hatch, 5 spd swapped, SOON TO BE nitrous'd and cammed.
I'd really like to see them bring back the firebird/trans am! Especially with some of the mock-up's that have been floating around.
I honestly think that they would boost the sales for GM...maybe even higher than the camaro's.
I would buy one , the V6 model for a DD , I think I'll wait a couple of years so they get the bugs worked out of them and get the recalls taken care of.
