Now the sales guy handed me off to an "internet sales manager" - she offered to sell me a Malibu LTZ v6 for $1000 off the MSRP less GM incentives.

w00t - $1000 off adjusted MSRP :omg::bowdown: - as a matter of fact, I was just born yesterday.
yeah, and maybe you will get $4500 in cash back too!!!

seriously, they should make it illegal to do that, give a price for a car, and you can haggle with the guy, i dont care that you added $4500 to the price and are offering to take it off of the car and give it to me

EvergladesW68, which dealership did you go to? I went to Lou Bachrodt a while ago looking at an 06 GTO. It seemed like it was all a big joke when it came down to bargaining(despite the fact that I also told them that I was looking to pay in full).

Yes, I know \"Artic\" should be spelled \"Arctic\". Can any of the mods change this?

when i was buying a my ss/sc last year i had to drive to ny you get it. i think i spent a total of 10 mins on the phone with them tieing up the ends. drove there and was out in 20 mins(test drive and signing papers)

best was to make the deal....easier to hang up than to hear them go on

i used to sell cars at bezema buick/pontiac/gmc

wat the general public doesnt understand is that the dealerships dont own the cars for much less thn they are trying to sell them for. in fact MOST of the money is made off used cars/trade ins/wholesale. a very small amount i made from selling a new car until they get u with things like financing and extended warranties.

but at the same time, every single car salesmen i have ever come in contact with (with the exception of ferrari/maserati and symbolic motors in La Jolla, CA.... should not have that job in the first place. i could go on for hours.

I have a friend who asks for the salesperson with the lowest sales for the month when he goes into buy a new car...he figures they'd be the most motivated to make the sale at the lowest possible price. I'm not sure if it's always a good idea, as the guy with the lowest sales might also be the biggest idiot, but it's worth a shot. It makes sense that the guy who has the lowest sales isn't likely to be the smooth-talking type.

I went to Lou Bachrodt - Coconut Creek.:tdown::tdown::tdown:

Be warned, BTW - Lou Bachrodt Coconut Creek are total idiots as far as repairs. These were the briliant folks who threw away the heat shields for my spark plugs boots when they did a warranty repair one time. The manager made the repair guy go dumpster diving to retrieve them.

AND ANOTHER THING! (LOL at my own ranting).

I found this thread I wrote about when Lou Bachrodt stupidly converted my dual-tone horns to single tone, high-pitched horns. I was really pissed. I had to fix it myself.
