It stings like you wouldn't believe but I've has some success with scratching open the blisters and pouring Clorox on them. Just don't do it around any sensitive parts like your eyes, nose, etc.
Every website I've looked up every summer I get poison ivy says the oils in the blisters are just from your body and don't spread the rash. The rash spreads as parts of your body less sensitive to the rash start showing signs.
I have scratched open the blisters to release the fluids and clean it out like dobie, it hurts like hell and can sometimes leave larger scars though.

this is actually a proven fact... mine is finally starting to go away.. i am on day 10 now lol
