  • Thinking about buying it...

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=300298381530

I can get a non SRT, standard truck cab and front end for about 2 grand.

Plus, I talked to the guy and he said he could let the truck go for 10 grand.

As far as a box I dont know yet, I'd worry about that later.

If I did get it, Id pretty much be just putting the good cab and front end on the viper chassis.

Id leave the exterior looking like a non viper truck.

    Whatcha think?

Yea I have talked with them about it, they told me a ton of info on it, and it even comes with the SRT door panels, but I dont want to drive all the way there to find out something is not as described, although I think everything they told me is accurate.

He said nevermind ebay if you decide to buy it, just drive there and he said they'd take 10k cash.

I was considering offering less than that, maybe 9k cash and see if they'd bite.

Was that a theft recovery? $10,000 is not a bad deal especially if you can get a cab for under 2k, short beds are probably a dime a dozen so you could prolly get one for like $1,500. It would take a lot of time to get her all together but you would have a sweet truck at the end.

If I bought the cab & front end for 2 grand, I could have the interior all swapped into the new cab in a night, that wouldnt be hard, and swap the cab and front end to it in a weekend.

id have a viper truck for about 14k bucks, lets say...

              Minus the truck bed.

Doner truck has a good title and paint is nice, frame is bent and the box is smashed, someone already bought the motor, trans and rear end out of it.

Ive got a 00 silverado 2500 4x4, with a 6.0 / 4l80e with a 6" suspension lift, and 35" tires, that I got a ridiculous deal on (4 grand) which is payed off... I could sell that for about 8k, maybe 9k.... and finance the rest.

hell id do it for a project, dont think id get rid of the Dmax for it though. theyre pretty quick but truth be told your current truck would probably be just as fast if not faster.

rebuilt the tranny in one, and then rode around in it...they are stupid fast. they have like a high 5 second 0-60 cause the back end is so light it just spins. sound good too.

No Id be keeping the duramax, its one of my other trucks id get rid of, 6.0 gasser.

Id just want this as a project truck, plus a sleeper etc..

Plus, if it ever came about, I could probably sell the truck for wayyy more than what I have into it.

I bet it'll do 10 sec. in the track right now since it's already gutted. LOL

That would be a great project to do.
