  • New Guy From Canada

Hey I am new to the world of FBody's I have all ways been a Ford Guy how every my Wife likes the Fbody's as well as Ford. It all started last year when we had a huge Hail storm in our area and all my cars got pelted including me new 08 Mustang GT. One car got writen off it was dammaged so bad so I took the money from that car and went looking for an FBody I found one that was not in great shape but good enough. It is a 1994 Green (For now) T-Roof 3.4l V6 Auto Trans. I (Meaning my Wife) drove it for the rest of the summer and most of last winter the fuel line ruptured in Jan of this year so in the garrage it went then in Feb my son and I decided to completely rebulid it from the ground up current it is completely stripped all that is left to do is pull the motor and Trans then the fun starts. I hope to get lots of info from you fine people when I need it I am going to keep the V6 my son and I are going to see just how far we can push this V6 my Goal is to make it good enough to beat my Stock GT I dont hink that is to high of a goal after reading some of what you people have posted here. I look forward to chating with everyone here in the future. Sorry I rambled on and the post is so large. P.S. I will post some pics as soon as I figure out how to on this site. Thanks for reading.

Nice....way to begin to see the light and come over to the chevy side :p

Where abouts you from? Canada's a big place.... The 3.4 will need quite a bit of work to beat an 08 GT

I am from Ontario and yes I know it will need work that is why I am looking at a forced induction for it. This is going to be my wifes car so it will have to be faster then mine so I can do some mods to it you see. There is a method to my madness. I figure with a good set of internals and a turbo or twin turbo maybe it should be faster then th gt

haha...nice plan...well not sure how close you are to Toronto, or to cayuga race track for that matter, but it'd definetly be nice to race some other v6 f-bodies...not many are done up over here...I know there are some camaro race events going on this year through TFBM or something...there over on ls1tech in the Canadian section...
look forward to seeing you around...

Thanks I am about 3 hours from Oakville and I know of Cayuga as well. And yes once I get it complete it will have to be tested I dont expect it to be done until next year at the earliest. I have a lot of work to do on it and I want it to be right. That is why I am stripping it down to bare metal going to sandblast the whole car and repair a couple of rough spots then it will be appoxy primer then sanding then primer then sanding the paint inside and out. I am going to try and get it as close to new if not better as possible. going to replace every line hose and tube. So it will take me a while I guess.

doesnt matter...doesnt matter who wins or loses...just nice to be able to open the cars up like that and not have to worry about getting impounded and loosing your licence...

True so true so what is needed to race now adays last time I did it all you needed was a car that ran and did not leak oil. Is a helmet required now or is that just for the 12 sec or faster cars

13.99 and faster requires a helmet...and yes you need a car and a valid licence.

I doubt you'll need one...I think they have the Gt's running an average of like 13.8-14.2 or something like that according to car and driver...I doubt the track will be very stingy about it...
Mind you I picked up a helmet for myself just to be on the safe side since I've made it my mission to break 13's this year....
