I think it's pretty stupid for GM to kill Pontiac. If anything they should kill off GMC since most of chevy trucks and SUV's are a copy of each other. And they should kill off Hummer since the sale on that one is much worst than Pontiac. GM should give Saab back to Germany since its status never made it to the same caliber as BMW.

Actually SAAB is Swedish not Germanyand yes the should kill GMC and Hummer. All though pontiac has been a weak seller in the past few years.

GMC has far more business than we actually know about, a very small amount of its sales actually come from the average consumer.
To me, it seems like the ideal lineup should be Chevy, GMC, Pontiac and Saturn. What else do you REALLY need? Saturn has really made a name for itself these past few years, despite what most people may think.

For as much as I hate my Saturn dealership and how the company handles issues, I do love my Astra and Vue. I would love for them to stick around considering they have the most attractive lineup IMO. It is sad to see Pontiac sent away though. Congrats on the bird being on CNN btw.

The reason why they like Buick so much in China is because they associate it with upper-middle class USA. I'm not saying that their assumptions are realistic, but if they were to find out that you can't even buy a Buick in the US, they'd stop snapping them up.

I just hope Pontiac carries over it's few good models into the Chevy lineup...for example, the Vibe, G8, and Solstice.
