That's what I mean. Camaro did win, but this Hyundai can sure play.

The Camaro V6 is slightly more expensive too and it weighs almost 2 ton. I was disappointed to see a 27k price tag on a V6 Camaro when they said in the beginning that it would be in the 22-24k range.

But with that said ofcourse I would take a Camaro no matter what Hyundai puts out.

I'm only admiring the progress Hyundai is doing. Over 300 hp 3.8 V6 is a bargain in my book. Plus the leather feels and looks better than GM. The appearance is not that bad either. It looks better in person.

Next time I stop by I try and see if I could take it out.

^ it would be a bargain if was in the same price range as the last v6 camaros (16-21k) but at 27k it now cost as much as a z last time, and the v6 will not sound as good and probably not have as much mod potential

everyone who has driven the V6 is saying it's got an amazing sound...comparable to, but not as good as the 350Z/370Z.

Don't forget 8 years of inflation have gone by. Not to mention you didn't get this level of safety, performance, refinement and standard equipment 8+ years ago.

test drove a 2.0l turbo. it aint too bad. the seats actually keep you in. you can actually call the interior an interor, unlike a couple of other cars ive test driven. hyundai actually did its homework in designing a car, a few minor things need to be worked out. out of the 2 engines, the turbo the one with more potential. the v6 is behind for the time, and should have kept the original plan of throwing in the v8. only then will it be able to hang with the big boys. i wouldnt mind getting one of these, especially after the release of the spec-r (or what ever they are going to call it). but for the price range, you got better options.

its already been proven on the cts's that the 3.6 is moddable. bolt ons and tune netted them a shade over 30rwhp no problem. throw a few things like cams and better heads and the SS guys will be plenty pissed off.

yea but then its a lose, lose situation...cause then it's look how well the hyundai did against your supercharged v6...

One of the reasons why I hate getting into it with my buddies who own hondas or any of the 4 bangers when we go to the track...it's a lose, lose situation... If I win it's..."yea but you beat a 4 banger civic with a few mods...my cars an eco car...congradulations" or if I lose it's "Man you lost to a civic! yadda yadda yadda..."

Don't matter if you win or lose...you still lose in the end lol...

the v6 hyundai starts at like 26? the v6 camaro starts at 22
the hyundai is about 2-3 tenths faster in the 1/4 mile.

you are just having a hard timing finding a camaro without a markup cause they are in such high demand. But MSRP for a v6 camaro is 22k

+the engine in the camaro is amazing! made wards top engine of the year award.
its a variable valve timing (VVT), direct enjection (DI), DOHC engine. it is less displacement than the hyundai engine but has the same amount of power. It runs something like 11.2:1 compression and still uses 87 oct gas
I would buy it just cause it has little oil jets that shoot oil onto the bottom of the pistons to improve cooling haha
