i wouldnt say it that way

i have no reason to mod a v6 camaro, its slow and always will be, and it is cheaper for me to drop a v8 in then to make mine as fast as one, i just drive one daily, and thats it

with that being said, i am here to give and get info about problems, i rarely visit the lounge

Well.. before you go knockin v6ers.. Don't the new v6 camaro engines put out like 306hp? Or how about that Hyundai Genesis? That's the only slick Hyundai I've ever seen.

Either way, I love my v6 engines. I even have a license plate on the way "3800 II".

                  P.S. It's not slow.

because he only posts in threads with people working to make their car faster, which like we have stated is not too many threads here ;)

i can drop a v8 in my car for under $1000, and that is PUSHING the price

show me how to get 400hp from a v6 for under $1000 and i will believe you

                        im not knocking v6ers, i drive a v6 lol

and yes, the new v6 camaros are pushing out over 300hp at the engine, but im talking about a buick 3.8

im not really sure what a hyundai has to do with a 3.8l v6 camaro but oh well

i think the 3.8l is a great engine, very dependable, and im not sure if you are talking about your engine or the engine in general, but IMO its slow

Re: I need advice on selling V6 parts.

I'm at alittle over $3000 in turbo parts and thats with stuff I just added to help watch EGT's and a bigger radiator/injectors, I hope to be in the 350-400 WRHP(which would be 425hp to 480hp using a 20% drivetrain loss) with my setup which is my street car which is under 3000LBS also. So I think thats good for a 13 year old car, which will be faster than the new Camaro SS models coming out. Even if I dyno 325WRHP thats 390HP with a 700 to 800LB lighter car, so my car would still be faster. Since the new Camaros are 3700-3800LBS. I'm going to wait about 2 months before the turbo goes in, I have all the parts but I'm doing the new A/C line and removing the rest of the front bumper, installing a bigger radiator, mount the intercooler and install -10an return on the oil pan. By that time the 110-120 temps of the summer should just be in the 100's. It doesn't take much for our 3.8's to wake up and if treated right they will last. A guy on FTV6 did a turbo build on a 98' RS for $300 so far he is at 11PSI cheapo turbo, stock everything and ran a low 14's also with 3.73's, S-10 converter and no intercooler. He said his car felt like 300HP, not bad for $300. This gives me alot of hope for mine since I'm running 3.73's. I'll call it a street monster which it will run mostly. My Dad retired from GM last year 40 years and his favorite motor has always been the 3.8 engine on power, gas mileage and dependability as long as they are taken care of and maintained just like anything else.

96' Camaro M5 to A4 conversion, alot of mods . GT35R Turbo full suspension. Built engine

Show me a 400hp v8 swap that costs under $1000. That is BS unless everything is donated to you
