i agree, there is nothing better than a carbed engine

after i put a new cam in the engine, there is gonna be a 415hp carbed sbc in there

                  .495/.512 lift
                  duration @.050 249/258
                  adv duration: 318/327

that cam isnt gonna make any power till like 3500rpm

truly, i absolutely hate it when people drop ls1's in 1st gen camaros

its cool if they use a front drive distributor and a carb with no computer though.. actually, i think that would be awesome

nothing against the ls1, i love the engine, but a fuel injected engined doesnt belong in a muscle car IMO unless it came that way from the factory

X2 , I'm not going to flam anyone who wants to swap engines, even a carb engine. Good luck on the swap.
I'll start making boost just above 2000 RPMS about 6 PSI then hit max 12 PSI at 3000RPMS all the way to 5900 RPMS. Could be more or less, but it should be pretty good for a 3.8 engine.
                        08' L76 6.0L 4X4 Chevy EXT.Cab LTZ Vortec MAX with Snug top cover, Dynomax exhaust,Hptuners& K&N intake
96' Camaro M5 to A4 conversion, alot of mods . GT35R Turbo full suspension. Built engine

that sounds like a good rpm range for a 3.8

im gonna rev this engine up to 8,000rpm.. should be fun

I think you'll also have a nice deep muscle sound on it. Should sound great ,damm 8,000 RPMS. Did you say your using a 302 engine?

Theres a guy Tef. Hunden with a bigger version of my turbo GT42R making 460 WRHP and 5?? TQ, with 18 PSI meth injection stock except for DR timing chain 130lb springs revs to 6500 RPMS reason for the bigger turbo, lives in Colorado at 5200 ft. and still makes that power at sea level his ride would be insane

The reason I was asking is I saw on HP T.V. about the 302 blocks cracking because of high RPMS, and they had a cradle that attaches to the block in the valley that supports the block from cracking at higher RPMS, and also showed how to smooth out the oil passages for more oil flow. Just wanted to pass it on to ya. I think it was this past weekend so there should be a episode on there website Horsepower T.V.
