after of 4 months of bullsh** doctor games the marines corps finally accepted me. Im going in the reserves. the jobs they are offering me is any mechanic job u can think of, combat engineering, and lots of computer jobs. haven't made up my mind. Any help? I want sumthing i can take out of the marine corps. my bootcamp date is 20091013 (oct. 13).

Funny thing is that i didn't tell my dad until after i left MEPS. He was very upset i didn't fulfill the continuous navy tradition. oh well i had to be different. He was the one that told me i couldn't be one and was not made to be one.

Congrats, man. I would probably say that you could take either the mechanic knowledge or the computer knowledge out of the Marine Corp. You may decide to say in longer than you'd think though.

Yep the USMC gave me the medical run around too (I had a tumor removed from my knee when I was 12) - I told them to shove it. I was making way more than E1 Pay directly after HS with a company that reimbursed college courses so what did I need the military for :P.
