  • My Install Thread!! (Wheels, Pacesetters and more!)

My senior prom (they call it ball) is in a week exactly from today. (6/5)
I am riding up to walk-in and to the prom itself in my Camaro. I was going to rent a car for the weekend, but it got way to expensive, and I could use this as an excuse to dump money in the Camaro and get my butt into gear with some mods.

First, I installed my Pacesetter headers.
    Thread about that is here:
    http://www.v6f-body.net/VB/upload/showthread.php?t=1128

    I also painted my 5-spokes.
    Thread here:

I just ordered tires from tire rack yesterday, and they came in today. Nothing but praise for tire rack!
I am getting them mounted as I type, and will be picking them up in 20 minutes or so.

I also installed my gauges (Autometer Wideband and Aeroforce Scan gague) but have yet to take pics. I am going to wire them up later after my exhaust is done.

And that's the other part, I am getting my exhaust fully welded (Pacesetter headers to 2.5 inch carsound Cat to 2.5 inch Magnaflow exhaust.)
    Thats getting done Monday.

And that will be it for now! Pics will be updated throughout the week!

Re: My Install Thread!! (Wheels, Pacesetters and more!)

Tires were $438, then $48 shipping. Under $500 was my goal!

Here they are mounted and balanced:

Sidewall looks big, but thats because they are off the car. They are 245/50/r16. With a ZR speed rating (over 186 mph) hahaha

I like the 50 series sidewalls when I had my 16's they will save your rims from cub rash, plus they fill in the fender gaps well. I ran 255/50/16's with Kumos. Should look great on your car. Congrats. I plan on getting a bigger sidewwall for my 17" rims when I wear the current tires out like a 275/45/17 from my 275/40/17's.

            Thanks man.
Yeah I saw the 50 series off of the car and was like whoa! Those are way to big! I was gonna go with a 40 or a 45, but then looked at the current wheels on the Camaro and they are 50's!
I think they do look great. I can't wait for this week to be over!

I forgot to add, I also have a tuned PCM for Intake/Exhaust and 3.73's

How will the 3.73 tuned affect my 3.08 gear speedo? Will it show faster or slower?

And I also have UMI LCA's to install, So I can roast off the old tires!!

245/50-16 won't affect the speedo enough to worry about it.

Wanna trade your painted rims for my chrome ones? They look good man

Being a A4 I still would look into getting your PCM flashed again to make sure the speedo is correct , it will throw off your shift points in the A4 even a little bit might cause it to hesitate a bit, the LCA's will help you from not burning up your tires, but with the 3.73's you'll be able to do a nice burnout. But get the PCM tuned so everything is working fine before getting on it , or your tranny might take a beating.

I haven't taken the car above 3k RPM 'cause I think something in the car might explode (Open headers right now, everything rattles like crazy)

I will report back on this after I get the exhaust welded Monday.

Thanks man. I am gonna install the tuned PCM, then take it for a ride and see what happens. If there is any hesitation in the least bit, the stock one will go on.

I don't have any access to a tuner (No HPTuners!:()
