tv question

before any body says "just do this its a lot easier" i do not want to get X-box live or three more tv's. can you think of a way to hook up 4 x-boxs to one tv and have the screen split 4 ways? i found a thing on line for a secruity system that was exactly what i am trying to do but it was 6 grand :omg:!!!! anything cheaper?? more info if needed btw

wow you're planning some major gaming huh? i've never even heard of splitting a tv 3 ways, much less 4. but are you just wanting 4 people playing on live or what..so i guess i need more info..but yeah i have no idea about the four way thing

The DJ who did my sister's wedding did something like this, but he did it through his laptop... had a small unit that had RCA's from 4 cameras on the dance floor, band and bridal party, and then a cable that ran from that unit to his comp, and then another cable from his comp to a flat screen... I have no idea where he got it, or how much it cost, but maybe if you looked for some sort of software that related to this you could find something???

well i ways trying to do a system link with 4 x-boxs (nazi zombies has to be either system linked or on live and live would mean i need three more accounts) my tv is huge it is like 62" i think so 4 screens on it is like 4 regular size screens.

i didnt think of DJs but did think about doing it through a computer so i might just call a DJ and ask for suggestions.:banana:
any more suggestions would be awesome

The thing you found for security systems is called a multiplexer, it will take mutiple inputs and stream them all out to one display, and you can select how you want the display to split it up - top/bottom split, left/right split, 4-corner split, up to 16 inputs on one screen. They can be pricey, but if you search you may find smaller, cheaper ones. The DJ software I haven't heard of, so maybe that might work better - now i'm curious, i'll have to look.......

well assuming your tv can do split screen, you could hook 2 xboxs up and have two people on each xbox..they just have to login on another xbox for a while..cause then, i think you could do system link OR everyone could be on live. i could be way off though. i've actually never tried system link (guess i'm a loner... ) but man it's been a while since i've played zombies. hope this helps some.

^ yeah with the new map it is really fun!!! and the one that is on the way:drool: but on system link only one person per x box can play so that is why i need 4 x boxs.

venom did you ever look into the multiplexers or did you just look around at radio shack? cause i know for a fact it can be done i was just looking for the cheapest method

you can only do 2 people on one x-box but if you do system link then you can only do one per x-box so the only way to play 4 people on zombies is either system link 4 x-boxs or play on live that is why i didnt ask about how to play with 4 people i asked ho to put 4 inputs on one tv... nothing else

see. i told you i was missing something. i still don't understand why they only let you do two people for one xbox..doesn't make sense to me. oh well. sorry about that..now i'm trying to research that DJ software..so hopefully i find something
