my buddy bought a new suzuki GSX-R 600 bike, not even an hour after he left the dealer he was sitting at the hotel he was staying at (went out of state to buy it ) and it was on small atv / lawn mower trailer behind his small SUV, and a semi was turning into the parking lot, and ran it over with the rear axles of his trailer....

Did a ton of damage to the bike, but it wasnt totalled... so they fixed it, its been 6 months or so since he got it, and it just got ran over by a delivery van while it was parked in a parking lot! (yesterday)

    talk about bad luck...

the bike still has probably less than 1000 miles on it so i doubt theyll total it.

      Ouch...That sux!

A friend of mine bought a Honda VFR 750cc back in '95, and "accidentally" did a wheelie out of the lot just after he purchased it. He lost control and dropped the bike as he entered the street and the bike slid about 50 ft. The salesman did this> :omg: as he turned and walked back into the showroom acting like he didn't see anything. It had less than 1/10th of a mile on it.

        Could be an OMEN!!!

He's not meant to have a bike. It could have been worse where he gets into an accident himself.

My classmate, cool guy, just got a bike and was too excited. He was zipping through traffic like nobody's business till one car decided to turn left and he rear ended it going 95 mph. Yup, he was dead. Head first to the rear window and he ended being in passenger side of that car.

Funny you say that. I had a good friend just before I deployed 2 months ago, a sergeant in the army, who was using a friends bike, (I don't know what it was but I know it was a yamaha, I think the yamaha top end bike) and was just outside ft lewis, wa and I guess he was speeding (of course) and the back tire hit one of the light reflectors on the highway and bounced it just right that he lost control. Crashed, broke like 9 bones, and died. It was horrible because he's supposed to be in Iraq with me right now. It was horrible. A good friend. Bikes are even more dangerous then cars. If I was that guy I'd look into somthing other than a street bike. Maybe a dirt bike for funsies, but that's it. I prefer things on 4 wheels thank you.

That really blows all the storeys in this thread really blow and is the reason I will never own a street bike I had to many close calls and injurys with a dirt bike to even think of own a street bike. I say get rid of the bike as mentioned it is a omen get out while he is still able to walk and breath.

Actually I find going fast and wiping out in a caccon of steel and plastic to be far better. Better chance of survival. And the problem is not me on the Street bike the problem is everybody else in the world that cant drive. And to tell you the truth I am way to fat old and lazy now to think of a bike of any kind.
