    GMC Acadia.... not quite a true SUV, but has some nice features.... "Decent mileage" at 24mpg highway if I remember right (though we get 21 highway with our 01 Yukon). Might be able to get back into the 30K and below range with a little dealing and the GM card stuff or rebates.

      x2 for the Acadia... my gf's mom has one and she loves it, she considers it an upgrade from her yukon
      Rebuilding the engine... Building a custom front end... T-top conversion... Custom rear hatch..
      Custom interior...

        Yeah, for real. Mom want's to upgrade to an Acadia soon, now that her Yukon is paid off.
