Going to school to be an Aviation technician.
I am currently unemployed but going to school full time at Embry Riddle(fancy pants Aviation school) to become an aviation technician/mechanic. Starting pay for most grads is ~50-55k... I hope with management background, business background, and after a some years of experience to get into Aviation maintenance management. Maybe complete my 4 year degree over time, I am solidifying that I have the 2 year degree on paper right now. Figure since some Aviation maint mgrs were in the $100k range.
My wife is a Speech language pathologist with a masters degree. She started out of school @ $62k a year, not even a year got a $2 raise and a bonus. So I always have my sugar mama to rely on, and my wonderful movie theatre career to rely on.
But getting in big debt for school, figure I will owe around $30k when done.
Going for a slice in Italy is a success every time. Going for a slice in America, is a bust more times than not.
however, around here we have some of the most authentic off the boat mom 'n' pop restaurants as well as fine cuisine restaurants owned by none other than the greats: Mario Battale, Lidia, etc. I have to admit... some of the NYC Italian Restaurants are right on, and b/c of that they top the Zagat charts. About 90% of them fail miserably though; i'm with u on that.
A stick of Sopressata, a glass of Carlo Rossi Burgundy and an episode of the Soprano's = good every time.
