I ordered a 14,000 BTU portable A/C unit for the garage and as a spare incase our home A/C goes out. Like last night. Spent today with my dad fixing the A/C. Compressor was kicking on but fan wasn't spinning. I finally got it spinning with a screwdriver when the compressor clicked. So we tried a spare fan motor , nothing so then we thought about the capciter and that was it, pretty easy working on a 5 ton unit alot of room. So the portable will go in the garage to cool it when I'm in there, has heater and dehumidfier also with no drip system it will spray the extra water in the air, echo friendly I think it said or something like that, I think it is a Edgestar. Will come in handy here soon I hope. Helping my dad with the home A/C for 3 hours killed me today, time to get a long nap here in a few.

What did that set you back?? As I was working on my jeep last night in my garage, sweating my balls off, I thought... Boy a garage air conditioner sure would be nice!

It was actually about $500 shipped, but I got another 2 year warranty with it , it weighs 75LBS but has wheels to move it around, just need to vent the 2 ducts to the outside, which I'm going to cut mine next to the water softer in the garage. They don't take up alot of room. I think mine is 35" high 18" wide and 16" deep. And no need to run the water line it says on the model I bought because it will mist the water in the air, but it says you can run a line if you want to. Says it will cool up to 525 sqft. so mine should be good to cool off the garage. A guy who reviewed it from my town/area said it was 115 outside and the air conditioner cooled his down to 80 degrees , but he said his garage wasn't insulated which mine is, and he had a bigger garage than mine with a work shop. My father inlaw with a 11,000 btu gets his down to 70 just turns it on 30 mins before going out to work and it is already nice and cool. If this thing works good I might save my self the money back by doing my own turbo pipping in the garage. I have been in my father inlaws garage when it is cooled and it is great. While I'm at it I will install a 20 amp outlet in the wall since the breaker box is just outside it so I will have a plug in for the welder, no more ext. cord from the dryer outlet.LOL I would say just by the results from the father inlaws house they are well worth it, I bought a 2 year warranty with mine just in case, for 19.00 since they gave me another $10 off. If you want the model # I got let me know it seemed like the best one for its BTU range with the A/C , heater, dehumidfier, and just a fan , if you want with the no water line hook up, mine was on sale for this week only it said. I have been looking at them for 2 months comparing them.

Says it can get down to 61 degrees, so yes, when I do my turbo pipping mocking up and tacking it. To get this turbo beast rollin.LOL Won't be sweeting you @ss off like with those springs and pushrods.LOL

I know I was, I sweat like that everytime but I take 35 pills a day and I'm the one who has had a stroke and has to have 2 surgeries coming up,LOL I did what I could, granted you did alot more than me. You know anything about IGN's LOL. I think I might have the dealer do my lock and new key for it. I have the steering puller but it says there is another special tool to take it apart. I know how to disable Vats on the car, my car has been down for a week now, it sucks. I want to get it dynoed. I might start on it tomorrow since my back is feeling a little better from fixing the home A/C. When do you start school again?

Or if you have time tou could help me swap out my 36LB injectors for the 65lBers I have just in case I will need them. I'll see how much the dealer wants for book time to swap my ign. first. They have a Corvette(don't know what year and a SRT8 Challenger up there wanting to be test driven again.LOL
