All this RAIN we had in the Northeast has gotten me a lil down because I can't drive my SS. Flame me but I love my Black 2002 35th Anniversary LS1 SS...:excited:

Anyways, I visited Home Depot and took advantage of a "Buy Now Pay 1 Year Later" deal I received in the mail. I bought a Husky Air Compressor.

Funny thing is I had to disassemble the compressor from the box and stuff it in my black V6 with the rear seat down because it would not fit at all to begin with. Then I threw away the packaging foam, took the box and flattened it for cardboard so I can rest on it on my next spark plug change. It came with extra tools too numerous to mention but surely worth the purchase. I felt renewed again! Here it is all nice & shiny. :D

30 gal Craftsman, Works good, just keeps the neighbors up at night. To damn loud. Ex-wife must have hated me, she bought it for me right before the divorce. then made me pay for it since I had the Sears credit card.

I was going to buy a Craftsman or a Kobalt for like $300+, however I just could not pass up the deal I got on a upright Campbell Hausfield 26 gallon for $140 new.

I've got two of them.
The first one is a 20 gallon 1.5hp (forget the name) that I use strictly for my airbrush guns. The second one is a 28 gallon 3.5hp campbell hausfeld that I use for my pneumatic tools and spray guns.

I bought the campbell hausfeld tank for $20, then installed a different motor and air regulator myself.

i have a husky, and i think it is pretty horrible IMO

its really only good for using a impact gun.. other than that, it is running constantly for any air tool

I was sick of my air compressor running all the time so I built a hybrid, its got a 40 gallon tank in my attic, with 2 drop downs from the ceiling in my garage and a compressor motor/pump mounted on the wall near the ceiling.

i have the old campbell hausfeld like 5 gallon...i cant really do anything with it except air up tires. my dad has a 33 gallon craftsman that i use when i need to sand blast or use air tools.

some offname medium sized tank (13 gallon?) one. run air sockets off of it, not sure if I have tried grinders on this one or not. We have like a 400 gallon one at school detached outside, and like 100 yards away. Just cool to reach up twist a hose valve, and have air with no compressor.


Guy in one of my classes, has an old craftsman oilless that is hooked up to like 6 scuba tanks for reserve air. He paints with the setup, pretty cool.

I've got a 30 Gallon Craftsman that I bought cheap through the tool program when I was a tech at Sears auto... Deflinitely loud as hell and runs out pretty fast. It's good for short jobs, like nail gun, quick grinding for welding, or using the impacter, but anything that requires a steady amount of air it's a PITA, and have replaced the drain valve at the bottom of the tank about 12 times after the rubber seal crumbles

I like the idea of putting it in the attic... will probably steal that when I buy a house
