Rog already locked one of his threads, and then he opened another about the same subject, so I let z38 have a three day vacation.

This all comes back to something I learned from frequenting other boards for awhile. It isn't how many people are registered to a message board, its the quality. I, as well as alot of people, have been obsessed with more and more people joining this site, but if you have 12,000 jackasses that know nothing and can't be taught anything, whats the point? Better to have 2,000 people who are smart, willing to learn what they can, and are civil and respectful enough of others than to have those 12,000 jackasses.

That's a great point. But I think with quality comes a quantity as well. That's where moderation (you) and whomever else needs to step in, which you are and I am thankful.

And yeah, z38 doesn't learn from past experiences.

So help me out here....is this site just for the motor heads? I'm certainly not a kid, but I was excited to join because I don't find much about the V6 out there. I don't speak motor, but as my 02 V6 ages, it's kind of nice to have people to go to for questions. There are NO (and I mean NO) more Chevy dealers around here, let alone anyone who really knows anything about fbody. I don't race, I don't modify my car. So, I guess I'm asking, should I not bother to be a member? just lurk around and use the search if I have a question?

The issue isn't that we want to keep this site purely technical. We are not saying that you can not discuss anything that is not related to cars. Rather, what we are trying to say is that it would be nice to keep a decent level of maturity in the threads and posts that represent this forum.
