So my good friend's grandpa has an '89 Formula that he has babbied since it came off the lot. It is in mint condition and he loves it more than anything. So he let his son-in-law, who is in his 50's with no job and pretty much a bum, drive the Firebird to South Carolina for his high school reunion. His story goes that as he was "creeping out to see if traffic was clear" sombody t-boned him in the door hard enough to make it so you cant reach the pedals if you are siting in the driver's seat:eek:. He said he is fine he got some bruised ribs and that is it(unfortionatly), but the car is totaled. insurance said they would pay bluebook for it which is just under $4,000. So the Colonel is very sad that his Formula is dead but is now thinking that since he no longe has an F-body he needs to get a new one... a brand new one!!!! so he is now looking into ordering a red/black 2010 Camaro SS/RS:omg:. I'll keep you guys posted on what he does and hopefully he will let me drive it and i will tell all of you all about it(after the year or whatever it is now that it takes to get one).

i let my really close friends drive my car to see what its got, but i always sit shot gun and they have mucho respect for the car when doing so.

The last time I let my husband drive, he got into a fight with an 18 wheeler....the 18 wheeler won. 8K workth of damage -- it sucked.

i let the lady drive it once, and my best bud once or twice...but thats it... the lady lost privilages the day she totalled her moms car....

I don't even let my own gf drive her own car. We drove through some bad *** rain yesterday, couldn't see a damn thing, semi's trucks passing us, hydro planing. She was in the passenger seat freaking the **** out! I was as calm as could be. F that, other people suck at driving. I will only let my Dad drive my turbo'd car. He's an excellent driver.
