I woke up, found out I am officially out of work, so I must sign the books and sit around for 4 months, ran out of time on my phone so I had to put more minutes on it, spending all but about $40 to my name, and finally, watched and heard as the belt tensioner on the Firebird came to a grinding halt and throw the belt, all while I was still at the store.

So Im broke, with a broken car, and have almost nothing coming in till unemployment deems nessecary to sending me another check. Only good thing is that I have a spare tensioner at my moms house in Indy, so they're looking for it and sending it to me ASAP.

Its really not the Gov. , employers have to pay so much to the Gov. for unemployment, so the GOV. will call his employer and ask if they laid him off. Since they did it comes from the money and other employers unemployment money. I say since they laid you off get as much as you can get from them unless a better job with great pay is ready to hire. Good luck with getting a job.

I have $8k on my credit card, and owe $10k on my car, owe $10k in student loans, and still need ot pay like $15k towards school.


also my wife has a 10 year old cavalier, and a $600 a month student loan payment



but oddly enough, I don't think we are doing too bad. LOL

Fast food isn't going to pay me $600 a week either.

BTW, its just a bad day, all in all, life is ok.

Yeah, things are rough for alot of us right now. I got the G8 GT back in January. First payment was due Feb 16, I got laid off on Feb 13th. Lol. I did a little quick math over a job too. I'm gettin $660 every two weeks from unemployment after tax. Target is hiring for 8 bucks an hour (which is more than the fast food in the area). After two 40 hour weeks, that's $640 before they take out taxes. Sure, I'll be working, and unemployment will make sure that I get the difference, but it just rediculously overcomplicates things when we have to file taxes again. It's not worth it to take a low paying job.... after taxes, fuel, wear and tear on the vehicle, and lunch food costs, I would be losing money, and the time to apply and chase decent jobs.

Hang in there man.

i have no money...no job...no car...you could be me. but i just signed with the army, but that wont help since i dont leave till november...
