  • What to do with all that cardboard?

First off the property we are renting out was on the market and was expected to sell and we where suppose to be gone in 30 days. So we went out and go a ton of cardboard boxes to pack up everything for the move.

Well the deal didn't fall through and we are gonna stay for the next 3 years until our big house is built.

In the meantime the garage where my camaro is suppose to be parked is full of cardboard boxes:D I have thought of some crazy ideas from building a giant gundam or a mech of somekind like a metal gear to even a life size Ferrari Enzo, Zonda, Veyron, whatever scale models. I go way back in doing arts and crafts i've built all kinds of models before.

We also have alot of tape and some plaster. I don't want to just throw all of that out in the trash.

Any ideas? I know this stuff can be used for something cool and fun.

I don't know about your area. But in my area you can take them some place and have them recycle. And get a little cash too.

I'm going to post again later and show you what kind of artwork I do with my cardboard or posterboard. I make spaceships, trains, cars, castles, airplanes and such. I have them covered up in plastic and dust LOL.

I used to do since I was 5, but I stopped since the early '90's.

Yes , be good recycle. Or take them to Goodwill I'm sure they could use them. We have a seperate Trash pickup Black Trash can and Then a Blue recycle can that run seperate days every week , Very good system, but the trash/recycle service alone a month is almost $50 a month for the City of Surprise which I think is alot but i know it goes towards other things for the city, I hope.LOL

That sounds better than a Cardboard Enzo.

I was more interested in doing a Gundam that can sit in my living room than a Lambo.

i built a castle out of cardboard for my senior project. it was actually kinda fun.
you could make a giant castle and then attack the neighbors from inside.

take a picture of yourself holding something like a carburator and photo shop some bogus logo on the bottom like a fake name of a parts store. take it to kinkos and have them blow it up and print out a life size one for you. paste/take/secure it to some cardboard and try to take it to your local parts stores and see if they will let you put it near the counter to advertise your store.

i also like the idea of making a cardboard body kit for your car.

No we aren't. We are still in the process of designing it.

Thats cool your designing it, we had a building CO. out here in AZ that took almost 3-4 years to finish peoples homes the Co. ran out of money after building so many and I think went belly up but someone stepped in and got the houses built , can't remember all the details , but I know it took that long to build them.

Why not build your new house out of the carboard?
