plus if you are driving down a big open road and someone is going slower and you come up on them, they will pull off.
Yes, I was amazed at the ppl who would pull off; if the shoulder was big enough they would move over and continue going thier speed while letting you pass without even having to switch lanes. And yeah, thats when I was in Houston and and BFE...

Palm beach at 5:00 is about 10MPH or less... Houston is just like you said...

Then you've got the compulsive lane changers in rush hour... "ooh that lane's moving I'm going over there... ooh ooh now that lane's moving, I'm going over there, oops now it stopped, I'm getting back over..."

...and don't forget the "concert in a car" drivers... I can understand singing along to the radio... but some people prefer to put on a show... it's best when they're stopped at a stop light in front of you and you can see their car bouncing from them dancing in the front seat... lol

I had two number 4's within 5 minutes of each other today. They were going slow as hell so I decided to pass them at opportune times. They didn't like that. Speed limit was 45 but I reached 80 to pass the guy since he turned out to be a ****. Yay for oncoming traffic too! Good thing his old *** car was slow too or I'd be driving a Vanmaro home.

thats cause, as car people, we take driving and driving style seriously. if your gonna drift into traffic, its gonna look good, and if you are just cruizing, its gonna be done right.

I don't know where in Houston you guys were driving at, but it's never that way when I drive thru at 5 am and 5 pm. It's more like #1 thru #12. Drivers in Houston are A$$holes.
The illegals drive 10 under the speed limit.
the blacks drive 10 over or on your a$$.
And the whites drive like they are the only ones on the road.

                                Re: Driving personalities...

now that i have a real commute every day I had to learn not to be #5. Thanks to all the #1s out there the left lane is useless and comes to a complete stop more than the far right lane. Go figure.

In the mornings we have rolling roadblocks heading into the city. 4 lanes all doing 55 in a 60 with no one in front of them. It's amazing.

What's really interesting is evening rush hour on the motorcycle, I get to see lots of people attempting to multi-task and failing miserably. Not to mention holding up traffic.

In the end though the #1s tick me off the most.

Oah, once I had a #12 go completely ape s#it on me. Apparently I didn't get over fast enough so after trying to run me off the road he totally flipped out made various hand gestures and wanted me to follow him at an exit off the tollway. Was really wishing I was packing a gun that day, though glad I wasn't in the long run. Dude was driving a lifted F250 4x4 me in the firebird.
