Re: So, my car is no longer a General Motors vehicle

I am seeing many black Saturn SKY's on the road recently. Looking good but Saturn is another off the list as well.

I still wonder how exactly the US economy actually took a dive and affected a 100 yr old company who paid its taxes for 100 yrs straight. Yet the banks are given a bailout. Not cool.

No more Democrats in the White House ever. It's a money grab now, from your wallet.

    Carbon footprint? LMAO!

I will do my best to warm the globe. My '83 Pontiac Trans Am will be more powerful than ever before. Out with the LG4 305 and in goes a 383 soon.

I ordered the new GM Performance Parts Catalog. Go get it!

Its a simple concept. If people have no money, they arent going to buy cars. If you make a s*** product, no one will buy it. GM screwed themselves, by making SUV's and large trucks and not focusing on the fuel efficient vehicles. And what smaller vehicles they did make were honestly cheap as hell. Toyota beat them all around.

If you can't figure out why they got bailouts, I suggest a REAL class in business ethics, and a moral lesson on how a company must be responsible for the people it employs.

i dont understand y u dont try tell the brand that has the best chance of selling?

maybe they think it would be too much future competition to let pontiac be sold?

                        Honestly that is total bull****.

the US wanted big trucks and SUVs, I hate that people bring up. "Its there own fault, they shoudl have built fuel efficient cars"

Do I agree they shoudl ahve diversified themselves better? Yes. But face it americans want big trucks and SUVs. If I thought the gas wanst a big risk, I would have a truck. In fact, half *** browsing for the wife's next vehicle, and it we are about to say **** gas and get a truck anyways.

Best selling car for the Last 23 years in the US is the F series truck.

The Fseries truck is the 2nd best selling nameplate in the history of automobiles.

2008 best selling vehicles in the US?

                        #1 Ford F-series
                        #2 Chevy Silverado
                        #3 Camry
                        #4 Accord
                        #5 Civic
                        #6 Corrolla/Matrix
                        #7 Altima
                        #8 Implala
                        #9 Ram
                        #10 Focus

Even with the going green movement, cash for clunkers laws, high gas prices, etc... F series still #1, Silverado, is #2 and the Ram is in the top 10. So 30% of the best selling vehicles are trucks, and they are in #1 and #2

So its not GM's fault for building trucks, they are building what the population wanted.

does this mean we should be getting owner discounts on any new gm product?

does ford get teh same treatment if big brother decides to step in? if so, then what's the point of competition if any "big business" caint compete so they get bailed out????

You know I just watched part of Nightline program tonight and they've talked about how we are part owners of GM.

Anybody seen this? It went thru it a great deal of informative info. there.

Pretty sad to see this happening to GM.

I would understand your point of view, if trucks weren't also used not only by private individuals, but also commercial purposes. So the whole top 10 you have there is flawed, simply because a state or local village of any kind isn't going to buy a Camry to use as a commercial or public works truck.
