You stop sending these jobs overseas, pay them something decent, give them healthcare, maybe some form of retirement options, and you'll see less people on medicaid and medicare, less on Welfare and unemployment, more revenue generated by local, state, and federal government, inturn lowering taxes due to the excess of money. Keep sending jobs overseas and allowing illegals to do them for cash, and it will continue to rot this country. THERE ARE NO JOBS left anymore that have any decent pay without a Masters degree in blowjobs. I just solved the tax issue in one post, all that needs to happen is the fat cats in big business to get these jobs back into the US, and the politicians to create a better environment for competition. Wal-mart is not competition, they're a borderline monopoly. You keep shopping with them, and you'll understand why tax revenue is drying up so quickly. The balance of money is shifting too much to the private sector and not being recirculated because these damn companies prefer to keep their money in offshore accounts, so that its not taxed, EVEN IF the money was made here in the US.

I just solved the whole issue, but you conservatives are too damn greedy to admit that Im right. Youd rather have $10 billion dollars in the account, sitting, gaining interest for no apparent reason, while paying your employee's $7.25 an hour instead of settling for $9 billion, paying your employees $10 an hour, and giving them the chance to actually afford their own health insurance and retirement. But that ain't going to happen if it comes down to people like you. You justify these people making money hand over fist, without recirculating it, letting it sit in that offshore account. In the mean time, people work more and more hours for less and less pay, or see their jobs go overseas to a COMMUNIST COUNTRY so they can pay their new COMMUNIST FRIENDS several cents on the dollar compared to here. Thats something else that strikes me funny, is how much Capitalism needs Communism to operate at full greedy potential. God forbid if China actually started paying their people atleast a $1 a day, then those companies that choose to send their work to COMMUNIST CHINA might think again before outsourcing their labor. All in the name of capitalism.
I missed this post , I have to agree with this 100%.

Sooooo, this is a tiny bit off subject. What if we didn't outsource at all right? What would happen to those people that did work for so little wages when they don't have any work? I'm not using this to support any view on the subject at hand but I'm curious as to what each side thinks.

BTW, presidential elections are a joke. Popular vote is a joke. Who runs this country is the media. And tons of things are going to happen if I like it or not. It's all "reality" shows anymore. From the elections to Daisy Of Love. Whoever is producing this **** sucks.

all the wealth envy in this thread made me throw up a little in my mouf.

for all this outsourcing, why was it done in teh first place?? how big is the tax code, & who really understands it? why is eminent domain even in this country? why isn't congress/president/supreme court subject to same laws that affect teh rest of us? how is it that congress put a term limit on the presidency, but none for them selves? remember when the USA was an industrial nation? what ever happened to a nation being identified by it's borders, language, & culture?

How am I to know who you are talking about if you generalize? Just dont use names. If you cant be derogatory towards a group, then you might as well just say that you should say anything bad ever. I never said anyones name.

And let me be clear, anything derogatory is meant to be aimed at Republicans and "conservatives" as a whole, because their view are shared similarly as a whole thru my experience. I am in no way directing it in one person direction.

Those people that worked for those tiny wages and then lost their work are outside of the country and outside of my realm of concern and care. Its where I draw the line of giving a ****. My concern is within the borders of this country, not some indo-asian country. If those people starve to death, sorry to say, but oh well. I fight for the people within my borders, my bretheren, not foreigners.

I can honestly say that the American culture was just a result of the melting pot from many other cultures. As for us being industrial, we began selling that off long ago when corporate America knew they could exploit people overseas for pennies a day. But again, thats the capitalistic way....

BTW, I still love you Nate. Hold me.

Just to throw something into the mix of what Blizzard said... if it weren't for some sort of "going outside our borders"... I wouldn't even be here... Let's say that in WWII Japan wasn't dumb enough to attack Pearl Harbor... and under the logic of some, if WWII never became "our war" Much of Europe may very well be speaking German and who knows what the global military climate might be... If America had never gotten involved in WWII, the germans may very well have won that war... and my grandparents... my Oma and Opa... probably wouldn't have survived since they were both part of the Dutch underground revolution, and they definitely would never have come to the United States... my mom would never have been born, thus negating my very existence... the liberation of a people from a dictatorial tyranny is, I feel, the MORAL RESPONSIBILITY of a world superpower such as the U.S.... one day a future Iraqi-American will owe their life to W and more importantly to the many soldiers fighting in operation Iraqi freedom, the same way that I owe my life to the American soldiers who gave their lives in WWII fighting for my grandparents' freedom... which is why I do not support the socialist ideology of "not caring about the innocent people who live outside of my country's borders"

As my Opa would say... *In a heavy Dutch accent* "young man.... I've been in this country alot longer than you have, call me what you want... but don't ever call me a foreigner..." He wasn't a U.S. citizen until 2000... but has been in this country since 1954... his only surviving sibling of 6 (5 lost during the war) still lives in Holland... that is his brethren... if you knew my Opa, trust me, no matter how much of a badass anyone could be... if his former country was struggling and his sister's very life was on the line whether it be military, social, or economical... even you wouldn't have the heart to repeat this statement to him in person... To take the livelihood away from any person, foreign or domestic, goes against everything that you've said to this point... I don't like it when businesses move... NCR just left Dayton to move to Atlanta, and it hurt... It's a huge hit to not only my pride for my region, but to our very livelihood and revenue, but 3 years from now, or even more immediate than that, it would hurt Atlanta pretty much the same...

To say that you care for the little guy and that you're sick of the little guy being taken advantage of and then also say that it only applies if you were lucky enough to be born in America, is ridiculous... You claim to be so compassionate, but the reality is that you have what someone else already called: "wealth envy" and you really don't care about the little guy that you claim to and your above statement proves it... You said that no one could convince you that we should be in Iraq, but I just proved you wrong, bc we freed an oppressed people which is what you are standing for... How can you tell me that I have a f***ed way of thinking bc YOU say that I don't think a poor person should have coverage, but then say that you only give a f*** about U.S. citizens... America wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for these people who you so derogatorily called foreigners... what kind of f***ed mentality is that?

WWII we were provoked. 9/11 provoked us for Afghanistan. I agree about defending out freedom, but not giving it to people who aren't willing to fight for themselves. We should not have been in Iraq at all. It is not this country's job to spread freedom as if we were Santa giving it out. Not with our money and lives.

And do you think we would be in Iraq if they didn't have that oil? Why don't we spread freedom in Africa?

i wish i had the time to read thru all of this and comment (i skimmed through), but i know better than to jump head first into a b@lls deep political debate. i will agree that it's nice to see something intellectually stimulating (aside from all the fun with trans-x haha), so have fun boys/girls.

I honestly wish we would go to help there as well. But I have to say one thing about Iraq, they were causing trouble next door to one of our good friends. I agree somewhat to care for ourselves, but I think tis also important to care for our allies as well.
