  • $100 gift certificate from dealership - suggestions?

The dealership gave me a $100 gift certificate after I had pointed out that they had forgotten to charge me for some parts when I took my '02 camaro in for some electrical work last month. (Apparently I'm more honest than some and dumber than most)

Anyway, I don't plan on using it for service or maintenance, so that leaves the parts and accessories desk.

So, the question is - If you had $100 to spend at the parts desk, what would you spend it on?

It's an '02 camaro with 42000 miles on it - I can't think of anything that I need to replace that I haven't done as of yet...

So... did they charge you for the parts and then give you the gift certificate?? $100 might get you a few brake pads or a couple of oil changes. Accessories? Can't think of any besides maybe some center caps. Ask to see their parts catalog or something..

A dealer I work for once had a guy call in, and say that he found a company credit card laying on the ground of a parking lot, and he wanted to report it found, and let us know he'd return it that day. A porter had dropped it while fueling up a sales vehicle.

They awarded his honestly when he turned it in with a gift certificate for a free oil change and a car detail (wash & wax / vacuum /tire shine etc. )
