How many of you guys have left two (or one) strip of rubber in the parking lot of a store/place after you just got into an arguement with the staff?

I just got into an arguement with some newb they left in charge over at jiffy lube...I went to bring them my old oil after my oil change and this guys like "we dont accept oil off the street." I said to him, "Oh, really? Because I was in here a few months back after my last oil change and spoke with the manager...He told me you guys are Obligated (which they are) to take old oil as per the new environmental laws (as of about 2 years ago).

Anyways...guy was giving me attitude...refused to take the oil/filter...so I was rattled...got back in the car....left 2 15-20ft strips across the parking lot (its a small parking lot, and it was by the garage doors)...Place was full of customers to...that can't be good for buisness...I'll have to go back on monday and speak to the manager...or find a new jiffy lube with competent workers...

Ya, I know what I did probably sounds childish...but it sure as hell felt good...anyone else do this...or am I the only somewhat immature person on this board?:D

meh...felt good...made me feel a little better anyways...still got oil I gotta get rid of...I get really rattled when people don't know what they are doing...that location is listed under the Household Hazardous Waste depot website as a location in which you can take your oil and they accept it for free...or you can go to these other depots...they're just the closest to me, and I've never had a problem before...so now I wasted my gas, my time, and I still got my oil...

why are you so rattled? I mean you seem like that place owes you something... What do they owe you? Nothing because you don't buy **** from them and all you do is cut into their profits. Of course they are going to be rude to you.

Got to an autozone/advanced auto or something. Or just get an oil change at Jiffy lube.

we love it when people bring old oil in for us. It means the shop will stay warm in the cold winter months here in MI because we have a waste oil heater. :D So the more waste oil we collect the better. Ha. Free heat baby. Yea we are green at our shop in that respect. :)

I would have left it there anyway. What are they going to do call the law? They are the ones breaking it... Too bad you already spun out in the parking lot though... Good job :D

I worked at a jiffy lube once in my day, next time just leave the oil there. In the training it said people could drop off waste oil and as long as it is not contaminated. If for some reason they refuse it just leave it out side the place after hours or something.

i quit this job once...it was amazing, i had to back up to get out of my space. so i just threw a lil extra back up in the mix so when i put it in drive i could really drift. it was ballin!! two half moons in the parking lot....it was good!

but as for the oil, i carry mine to advanced auto.

They do though...its a drop site...when you go onto the Toronto page for household hazardous waste depots...this jiffy lube comes up as a dump site that accepts used oil and filters...It's not like I went to walmart or somewhere and expected them to accept it...this is a designated site, and I've dropped it there before.

And I am not cutting there profits (other then they dont change my oil). I'm not sure about the States, but here they've changed the law around. When you buy your oil/filters from the store, there is a fee built into the price that covers disposal...so when you bring it to the sites you dont have to pay anything, these places just accept it. The city comes with a hazardous vehicle and picks up all there oil for free as well...

The whole point of the program is so that people don't dump there crap down sewers, or put it in the garbage...it is to prevent people from getting sick in that perspective...and to be eco-friendly...

                          Re: How many of you...

I had a buddy when I lived in florida that was a manager at a jiffy lube, and when we'd party, it seemed like all the employee's at Jiffy showed up to party, so I got to know them pretty good. Which led to me getting all the fluids changed in my car one time, for free.

I had the oil, coolant flushed, tranny fluid and rear dif fluid changed out... and when I was ready to leave, they wanted me to do a burnout in the oil change bay, all the way through.

So I did, and it was.... Awesome!
