Digital TV converters

I had a TV tuner in my car a while back, and was just thinking about it... Is there a 12v digital tv converter box for cars? I did a few quick searches online, and just found out the place I used to get all my 12v electronics from cheap, isn't there anymore:(... anyone know?

nm... I found some, but to not waste a thread... anyone have one of those coupons layin around so I don't have to pay $40 for a converter for my car?

okay... I guess completely disregard this thread... my roommate just pointed out that the deadline to apply for a coupon is July 31st... so I guess I'll go apply for one now...

My wife sent out an email and we got our coupon in the mail. Instead of paying $40.00 we paid $20.00.

Digital sucks though. We are missing a couple of channels. Some channels don't have sounds to them and others are just breaking up.

I only watch the News anyway. We rent a lot of DVD's.

those boxes are junk. we had one while we were waiting on our cable and its useless.

That blows... It's not like I watched TV in my car much, but my TV tuner will now basically be worthless if the box doesn't work, which it probably won't...

Guess I'll just have to wait for the mobile satellite dish to come down in size and price... lol

yeah it sucks lol. if the signal isnt consistent, you'll get a black screen, if the signal is weak (like apparently 70% signal strength on the one we had) you'll get a black screen. forget about it if it rains, snows or is windy too.
