    Re: Custom fuel cells?

nice jeep, i love em, one day ill have a cj5.

the only problem i see with the fuel tanks i put up is fuel pump, unless you get a in line rotary type for fuel injection.

    damn i like your jeep...

      Re: Custom fuel cells?

Just planned on using a inline fuel pump, a few buddies have done it before but use fullsize tanks and dont use the rear seat.

the big aluminum ones (10"x40") hold 13 gallons, i was gonna put one on my buggy, but i broke it and sold it...sad story.

you doing this so the tank isnt underneath (sp)vonerable??

          Re: Custom fuel cells?

Yea, im slowly converting it to be more of a rock crawler than it is in its current state, and last thing I need is a damn rock going through my fuel tank.

Plus, when I bought this jeep, it was leaking fuel, so I pulled the tank and started reparing holes, only to find more, and more, until it stopped leaking, 20 holes total.

So a small tank in the rear of the jeep is ideal, i was shooting for a minimum 10 gal capacity.

            Re: Custom fuel cells?

this is my little rock crawler, with the shorter tank, only held about 8 gallons.

            i miss that thing...

Look like a pretty nice little sand rail.
